After a long journey travelling to pompeii we arrived at the hotel...first, the receptionist Bridget was absolutely amazing...so kind, friendly and helpful...She checked us in and explained everything very politely and with a huge smile...She took the time to explain places to visit and how, and also best places to eat...told us how to visit the volcano and the ruins, informing us on the right buses to take and also what to be careful of... The hotel was clean, fresh and the rooms were amazing...very nice... but for us Bridget made the whole experience a thousand times better...She is a valued commodity to the hotel...!! Thankyou

Well renovated hotel in an old building. Modern amenities. Clean and quiet (asked for room not facing Via Roma). Desk hours not available 24-7. But young lady staffed at desk was very helpful with guidance and suggestions of Pompeii & places to eat. She spoke English very well. Hotel is about 3-5 minute walk to Amphitheater’s entrance of the Archeological Park & 15 minute walk to Porto Maria’s entrance (main entrance). If leaving windows open, watch out for small bugs that bites. (Windows do not have screens). Shower drains runs slow. We stayed 2 nights.
Overall a wonderful place to stay while visiting Pompeii!

We had 2 great nights at this hotel, is clean, the rooms are big and the bathroom is awesome. It is super well located in front of the ruins and around 8-10 minutes walking to the train station. It is located on a busy road but as soon as you close the windows you hear nothing at all! I really recommend this place ! Many people say there is no elevator, but it was just one floor, nothing really serious!

The owner of this appart-hotel , Gianluca ,had already given to another client the room we booked ! Despite the fact we made a confirmation by mail and also through a phone call directly with the owner less than an hour before our arrival .
It s a shame !

No apologize at all, and in addition the owner seemed upset when we put him through his responsabilities . He gave us two rooms on another hotel not far , noisy room but very nice receptionist who was really helpful , thanks to Cristina :)

We were tired and did accept the deal.

Do not book there and be careful when you read all the comments made on this hotel :
All the Italian comments are written on the same way, with the same syntaxis, and are so marvelous with the reception !!!

I will definitely not recommend this appart-hotel.

This is a lovely place, with large rooms and large bathroom The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The only thing I would say negative about this place is the noise from the street, we found it extremely hard to sleep at night with all the noise from traffic racing up and down the road beeping horns at all hours and people shouting. The windows didnt shut out the noise and it continued all night! I can usually switch off and ignore it, but I could not do so here.

Stayed here for one night to visit the ruins. Great location and big rooms all newly renovated. Nice big shower too! Doesn’t really have a front entrance from the street like your usual hotel and the services are none. Just s little reception desk to check you in. There service was great they let us store our luggage early. There was a small fridge in the room and coffee! Lots of noise below on the streets but you can shut a lot out with the windows. There is a big hotel being built across the street so that might be noisy during the week. You can easily walk from the train station too!

The room was luxuriously appointed, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The hotel is opposite the ruins and very close to the main square and duomo. The only downside was having to drag my suitcase up 3 flights of stairs, but the charming receptionist kindly helped. She also arranged transport to Napoli for us with a very nice driver.

On arrival we were helped with our luggage up the 2 flights of stairs! As it was only 10 am we were offer the use of one of our booked rooms to leave our luggage and return later for "check in". When we checked in , we were given card access to the rooms and front door which made life really easy. The room is large and airy and the bathroom is great. Loved the shower which had wonderful water pressure. The only thing I could say I missed was a kettle in the room with cups to make a cup of tea but it was not a must! It is a perfect location to the Scavi as literaly a 5 minutes walk to the gate. You also have bakeries and restuarants all over. Well run and we were given a map of the Scavi and Pompeii. Would definitely stay here again

Me and my girlfriend decided to go to Pompei to visit the very famous ancient ruins that everyone tells to be very beautiful, now we can say it: They are!!!! So we found on Booking this very nice Palazzo Balsamo and we booked for three nights. Everything was perfect: it si very well located in one of the major street of Pompei, the ruins are very very close, like 5 minute walking. The Room was perfectly clear, spacious, costa and new; parking was very near the building and also cheap. The breakfast was served in the best bar of Pompei: pasticceria De Vivo. Another nice surprise was the owner Gianluca that suggests us wonderful Restaurant where have dinner as well as nice lounge bar where have a drink; he was very glad to satisfy all our requests. Very nice experience and if one day we will be back in Pompei we will join for sure Palazzo Balsamo. Thank you again for everything Gianluca.

Few meters from us, there is the Vesuvius bus station.

From the airport you have to reach by bus the station of Napoli-Piazza Garibaldi, and then by train to Pompeii. By car follow the signs for Salerno and exit at Pompei ovest. Palazzo Balsamo is about 2 km away. In request is possible to have a shuttle service fronte the airport to Pompei.
