Awesome spot to stay for the night so that we could explore the ruins until the park closed. Nice room however the sofa bed was quite uncomfortable. Nice and quiet but still so close to everything! The breakfast was DELICIOUS! Helpful staff to point us in the right direction.

GREAT FOR GLUTEN FREE. This was handy for all the usual tourist attractions. The place is clean and quiet. The hair dryer and shower worked. Beds comfortable, rooms comfortable size. Hangers and drawers provided, bedside lamps and table. The plates and cutlery were all clean along with our rooms. It was a pleasure to be there. The staff were all welcoming. We used the outdoor sitting area quite a lot. RE GLUTEN FREE: The food was fabulous. I had booked as gluten free and was provided on my first morning with a basket of GF produce which included muesli, bread rolls, crackers (not rice crackers but proper crackers) and a variety of cakes. For everyone there was chopped fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, cheese, ham, tomatoes, yoghurts. The scrambled eggs were hot and delicious. Every day staff showed me something that I hadn't tried that was GF and offered it to me. If we had a drink in the garden we would have snacks served and one of the waitresses brought me gluten free bread with tomatoes and olive oil - just like she had for my family. I felt included and catered for and we all had a wonderful time. I feel staff did everything they could to help me eat well and with pleasure. I didn't have to ask except on the first morning when I asked where GF was and that's when they brought the basket of produce out. It was SCHAR produce and I now know they do muesli which I hadn't before! I can't thank this hotel's staff enough and I would certainly stay here again if I ever got the chance. Definitely worth its full four stars. I noticed that the staff were always busy but always ready to help with a smile on their faces and their service was friendly and the drinks well presented. THANK YOU HOTEL FORUM FOR A MOST AMAZING STAY.

Wonderful choice for Pompei. Definitely the most comfortable bed and bedding I ever slept in. Location couldn't be better - just a few yards to entrance to the Scavi (excavation site) and free secure parking across the street. You can leave the car there while you visit the Scavi. Very clean, updated and well maintained. Great shower. Great buffet breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful relaxing lemon-grove garden enchanted my gardening wife. Plenty of eating options within a couple of hundred yards or dine at the hotel. Entrance to Hotel is easy to miss. The Hotel entrance is behind the buildings that front onto the street. Drive through the archway and there is a small courtyard beyond for check-in parking. Recommend checking it out on Google Streetview to familiarize beforehand. The Hotel Forum was much much better than I was expecting for such a touristy location. I would definitely stay again and recommend to a friend.

The drive through the gritty periphery of Naples is straight out of Grand Theft Auto, imagine our delight when we pulled into the courtyard of Hotel Forum to find an inviting Garden of Eden, fragrant with lemon trees. Everything has been excellent: the warm and friendly personnel, the room, beds, bathrooms, breakfast, public spaces....Recommended with absolutely no hesitation to anyone visiting this area.

Had a really lovely stay at this hotel. The room was really spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel had its own garden which was lovely to sit in amongst the massive lemons. The staff were really friendly and helpful. They booked us taxis when we were let down through another source. The waitresses were really lovely. They were friendly and helpful and always smiled. Breakfast was plentiful, with fresh juices, fruits, pastries and hot food. Dinner was tasty and the tomatoes on Bruchetta were so sweet! Maybe a larger selection would have been nice. Pizza wasn't available in the evening (though I did manage to have one at lunchtime which was delicious. The hotel was set on a main street opposite the ruins. The train station was a good 15mins walk but I noticed buses up and down regularly. There were little stalls outside opposite the hotel selling gifts. We visited the Cathedral in the main square in Pompeii new town. This was an absolute Must!! It was stunning. I think the only downside I can think of (and this is only because I'm English) is I would have liked tea making facilities in our room as I like a cuppa on waking. However we could have called room service if we wanted to. All in all - a really enjoyable stay

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Great staff. The room (29) was really spacious, as was the bathroom. The decor was lovely, the queen bed was really comfortable with soft linen. Extremely clean with balcony overlooking a lovely garden. Breakfast was delicious too. Entrance is opposite one of the entrances to The Ruins and surrounded by shops and restaurants. Ten minute walk to train station.

A well located hotel for the town and archaeological site. Free parking just 50 meters away was a bonus. Good breakfast and evening meal. They have a bar, we were off season so no one obviously serving. Our room was OK, we could see some rooms had been refurbished, ours had not, which was a little disappointing as it was low occupancy. The bed was comfortable and room clean. Staff polite and spoke excellent English, not overly chatty, but polite none the less. We would stay again if visiting the area. There were some lovely outside spaces, we did not use them as it was raining!

We stayed for five nights in January, using Hotel Forum as a base for exploring the ruins (Pompei, Herculaneum, Oplontis), Naples, Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. The Hotel is on the main street in Pompei at the amphitheater entrance to the ruins, but set back from the street in a private courtyard with a large secluded garden. 15 minutes walk to the Pompei scavi station of the Circumvesuviana train, providing a very convenient way to get around without a car. The rooms are large, attractive (particularly the junior suite facing the garden) and amazingly quiet. The rooms facing the street with views of the ruins and Vesuvius have double exterior doors, nearly eliminating all street noise. The staff are pleasant and helpful, speaking excellent English. Special thanks to Elena. Breakfast is quite good as is the restaurant for lunch or dinner, but some of the many other nearby restaurants seem to offer a little more value for the money. The hotel would be exceptionally pleasant during non-winter months when you can use the balconies and terraces and meals are taken in the garden. Overall a very comfortable hotel at a fair price.

Wow what a find! This hidden gem of a hotel is not only located centrally for Pompeii town and the nightlife but also directly opposite one of the entrances to the Archeaological site! We were in Pompeii to see the ruins and also to visit Herculaneum and Vesuvius so wanted somewhere fairly local. This ticked all the boxes on paper and was more than we expected. It is a boutique hotel located through an archway. We were in rooms which overlooked the inner courtyard area (some rooms have views above the trees out the front of the hotel and I beleive of Vesuvius, however these could potentially be more noisy as they overlook the road outside which was quite lively till 1am in November! But this hotel is something special. Our rooms had superking beds, sofa/seating area, a large bathroom with massive rainfall shower. One of our rooms had a little balcony which was lovely for a chill and a coffee. One thing we did miss was tea and coffee facilities in the room, but this could be normal for Italy and room service served the most delicious coffees to your room, or there is a little bar on the ground floor. Breakfast was wonderful. a massive spread of breads, cheeses, meats, croissants (plain and filled), egg, bacon, cake, fruit, cereals, fruit juice... Everywhere was so clean and spotless. Outside there is seating amongst the lemon trees - with the most enormous lemons growning - think rugby ball sized and you wouldnt be far off. We also had free parking with the hotel - park in the car park on the other side of the road, about 50 metres to the right, next to the little funfair - the official one for the ruins. It states in car park it is €2 per hour, however the hotel will give you a card similar to a hotel room key to use to exit the car park for free. I could not think of anything i would do toi improve the stay - if there was one thing, and this is tiny, i would suggest more English language TV channels, and that is just me scratching for something to say negative! After our long day walking around the Pompeii ruins, we had dinner out, then back at the hotel for 8pm to put our feet up - and were quite happy to watch Bake Off Italia or Italian cookery shows - we didnt need it in English! The hotel serves dinner in the evening in it's restaurant however we ate out both nights so cannot comment on the standard of evening food, but if the breakfast selection is anything to go by, dinner would also be amazing. All in all an amazing find of a hotel that I thoroughly recommend.

The hotel is in a perfect location situated about 1 minute walk from one of the entrances to the ruins. Excellent service, lovely gardens for afternoon cocktails and very comfortable rooms. The restaurant is fine but was let down by the limited menu which included pizzas but it turns out the the pizzas are cooked in one of the restaurants down the road and so when it arrived it was cold.
