the hotel is fine, nice breakfast, nice rooms, nice swimming pool , but 4 star - not , typical 3 star hotel. service could be improved, pool staff unpolite, restaurant bills added to room - eventhough we didnt eat there. things to improve. but location is great, close to beach, close to old town1

We stayed, in early July, half board, at the hotel Mirasole International.
The overall assessment is satisfactory, the receptionists efficient, especially the receptionist Serena very gentile.Il excellent and impeccable table service; waiters and room manager ready to meet every need, good lunch food and presented in a ricercato.Colazione complete with excellent desserts.
Our room on the fourth floor enjoyed a wonderful panoramic sea view. Furnishing and modern and simple bathroom but complete with everything.
Excellent room cleaning and daily change of towels.
A beautiful swimming pool at the foot of Mount Orlando completes the structure.
However, I would recommend bringing forward the check-in time, which is currently 2 pm, as those arriving during lunchtime have to wait for their room to be available.
I also recommend providing the terrace of the room with a drying rack for towels and costumes.
Last suggestion, insert in the menu a third choice of light first course (broth or vegetable puree)
The Mirasole hotel is located in an excellent location near the beautiful beach of Serapo and a few hundred meters from the city center for this I highly recommend it to those who decide to spend their holidays in Gaeta, a town rich in archaeological finds and natural beauty.

Exceptionally clean, modern, and a short stroll to the beach on the Tyrrhenian Sea. The front staff is fabulous! Accommodating, warm, and very friendly. The spa is luxurious and their staff is professional and quite lovely. Our room was spotless, comfortable and clean. The air conditioning only works if you are physically in the room as it turns on with your key. The evening restaurant was not very inviting so we did not dine there but the breakfast dining room was fantastic in every way.

I was very disappointed by a hotel that to deserve 4 stars must go a long way. I'll have to go in order. The room was the aberrant part of this living room: the triple was a double where they added a bed attached to the double (between the two you could not walk) with the result that the window would not open if you did not move the whole single bed and to open the wardrobe you had to move the bedside table. Total lack of supports both in the bedroom and in the bathroom, you did not know where to put towels, sink as tiny as that of boats, three drawers and six hangers in the closet. As soon as we arrived the room was an igloo ("the Americans like it this way" we heard back ) and we find that the air conditioning could only be regulated by the reception, we ask to raise the degrees , but the room remains frozen until night with a noisy fan that the night receptionist can not disconnect / decrease ("maybe it is the air recycling and must remain so" ) . Conclusion we slept with the window open, with the sounds of mopeds and night noises until 4h. All seasoned with sewer stench. The next day I ask for the change of room even paying the difference in price, but they tell me that there is no place (it was not true, on the site there was availability of other rooms) and that the triples are all the same size (not true, looking at the hotel photos there are much larger triples). They send us a very kind maintainer who fixes the smell of sewer and fixes fan and igloo saying the phrase "Ahh.... these are the rooms where you can not handle the air "... making us understand that there are rooms, perhaps more expensive, that have their remote control!! Absurd for a 4 star!!!
I would add: breakfast full of confectionery and dispensers of jam and fake nutella of poor quality (but if you ask for breakfast in the room come the real nutella and the excellent jam ... ) , you have to set the table for yourself as in a canteen , the very hot coffee always arrived cold from distracted waiters, until I identified the spearhead of the room: the highly efficient and smiling Michailov, but by now the holiday was over.
The pool is huge but dated, rusty parts here and there, fake synthetic lawn, sunbeds that have run their course, showers a little encrusted, at 14h00 you no longer have a chance to eat (in August, in a 4-star hotel, in the south ??? Science fiction...)
The spa is instead wonderful, run by Diana a little gruff at first, but then you discover that it is not: an oasis of peace that in my opinion is totally independent of the hotel.
I conclude with the final gem : I book the parking inside the structure and not on the street level and find that all the other cars had a roof over their heads except mine.
A question arises: why did I book with booking?
Conclusion: I would not return. I travel a lot for work and there are 4 stars that border on luxury. They cannot be considered of this category only for the excellent location, attached to the sea.

I have known the facility for years, this year I returned with my family. I have two small children under the age of 4. I promise that the facility has a lot of potential both in terms of location: it is located in front of the beautiful Serapo beach, both in terms of space. Unfortunately it is poorly managed, but let's start in order. The service is varied and there is a lot of staff, the service is quite fast. For those like us who have opted for full board: the menu is varied, but if you choose to have lunch by the pool the service is very slow, there is only one person who has to manage the bar and orders, so you can wait a long time .Another note; the kitchen opens at 12.30 and therefore it is not possible for small children to wait that long. The hotel should be better equipped for families; but there is a play area and above all.u. babysitting service or miniclub to allow parents to relax. But let's focus on relaxation: we had spa service included in our booking. The spa is located on floor -1. At the entrance I am greeted by the manager, who after giving me general information accompanies me to the changing room. I start to undress, and after just 2 minutes the manager comes in and in a conversational manner asks me if I'm pregnant. A rather indelicate welcome for a 4-star hotel, which is a shame because the spa deserves so much. But let's talk about outdoor spaces. The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool with bar and sun loungers, where it is also possible to have lunch, if you are lucky given the waiting times!. The pool needs maintenance! It is the second year that we have found the poolside raised with the rusty edges clearly visible, very dangerous for children!! The outdoor shower is poorly functioning and freezing! In short, a structure co. Great potential but managed without attention and requiring greater coordination and professionalism!!! Disappointed

For a four star hotel you would expect the breakfast buffet to be half decent. Breakfast closes at 10:30am. I went down at 10am for breakfast. The eggs looked about 2 days old, the bacon was soggy and limp and comprised of 4 pieces in total and the ‘sausages’ were little hot dog sausages (about 6 in total in the entire buffet) I asked the waitress if she had any fresh breakfast in the kitchen due to come out to which I got a very stern ‘NO!!!’ In response. She told me the breakfast was fresh. I asked for some and it was ice cold (not exactly fresh. I went to reception to complain to management and ‘a manager was not available to see me for at least 20 minutes’ I showed the lady in reception the photo I took of the buffet at 10:10am. She told me to talk to the non-existent manager. Not acceptable at all

Nice hotel although the spacious lobby area reminded us of an old time Russian hotel. It was clean and the room (upgraded) was more than acceptable. The major problem with this establishment was the staff; uninterested, not attentive and more interested in anything else than us as guests. It appears from other reviews that this has been an ongoing issue for some time which indicates that the hotel is undermanaged and that they do not listen to their customers. There were strict covid-regulations with temperature and mask checks. This was in stark contrast to some of the staff wearing face mask well below their nose! The breakfast was typical Italian style with lot of sweet cakes etc. The hotel restaurant is advertised as a gourmet place. We found the restaurant quite basic.

I spent ten days at the Mirasole International hotel in Gaeta at the beginning of July. I found the value for money pessimo.La single room was very small and the quality of meals really bad, against a very high price. (Euro 35 per meal in Half Pension for several days). Drinks excluded. No buffet of vegetables and fresh fruit. Never seen a plate of salad except on request and granted me as a favor. The reception staff, although courteous, is not able to give concrete information on possible visits, activities and excursions to do in Gaeta and surroundings with departures in loco.Delivery only a leaflet of a Formia agency that organizes excursions from Formia, letting the customer get active on how to reach Formia. The hotel does not have its own bathing establishment and also on the price of the agreement with two beaches there would be much to say, since it is cheaper to bargain in person.

Excellent holiday. The first from dad. Location is excellent. Special services for one-year-olds in the baby room where it is possible to cook. Maybe they should make a bottle warmer available in the rooms to avoid going down at 3am 🤣 thanks also to the maitre Guido for his friendliness and availability

The staff were rude and straight up sarcastic. It's like they were all in a very bad mood. Almost no one speaks English even though the hotel has the word "international" in it's name. One or two persons in the reception speak English, which they seemingly only use in order to say no. The signage was off throughout the hotel. Signs for the fitness room lead to the kitchen, which isn't a problem really, just dumb. But there is no sign leading to the toilet in the reception, and the receptionist mocks you when you can't find it. Afterwards, when you ask where the elevators are, the answer is: "Do you also want me to explain to you how elevators look?" Parking fee (15 euro per day) came as a surprise, but it might be in the fine print. The directions to the parking lot was incomprehensible and demeaning. It took 20 minutes to get the parking gate to open. The bed was missing its top mattress, so we slept directly on the hard springs, and it was just bad sleep. The staff said this is how all Italians sleep. All other hotels we have been to have normal comfortable beds. They also don't have duvets, which is hard for people form northern Europe to do without.
