My husband and I stayed at this beautiful hotel. We had a gorgeous view of the water from our room, delicious breakfast daily offering a variety of foods, and delicious coffee in the morning. We were able to walk to many locations in town and to Serapo beach. The hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating. We would certainly stay here again!

for us… OK, let me clarify, in reality is a nice hotel, great located facing gulf (there is the US Navy co-administrated with local), easy to move around and with own carpark available for guests.

Mid size hotel with ancient pieces in public areas, very clean, nice breakfast areas (indoors and terrace), breakfast choices are quite good (salty and sweet). Gym with gulf views is available if want to do some workout. There was a shuttle service to Serapo beach, really good. We had a nice room, was spacious for all of us, there was a kitchenette (which we didn’t use) the bathroom we found it a bit small but anyhow it was fine. The huge terrace was great to enjoy and to relax in the late night.

As per my title, it could be more inviting for us to extend our stay if is not because of the rates; it was a way too much (was expecting a private jacuzzi or butler in the room, just sayin’!) for what we got (nice was the terrace but lots of space which could have a better use) or we just drop in in the wrong days...

From 1 to 5 July I stayed at this hotel with my mother, spending a relaxing and very pleasant holiday. The location of the property is excellent.
The staff is super welcoming and professional.
The Hotel is spotless, the breakfast rich and varied (homemade sweets and savory proposals).
On the third floor there is a solarium, where there is a small, but functional gym with stunning sea views. Punctual shuttle service and available for the affiliated beach, also clean and organized, with a restaurant that prepares succulent dishes and artfully plated.
There is the possibility of receiving massages in the room of different types, decontracting, wellness and healing, by super trained operators.
I will definitely be back as soon as possible!

Three stars which is worth four both for the characteristics of the historic building well located between medieval Gaeta and the "new" city, both for the splendid sea view and for the well-kept internal environments. We chose a suite with two bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, terrace overlooking the sea with deckchairs on the third floor. Breakfast with wide selection and beautiful room. Free parking. Gym equipped with Technogym equipment. Room price definitely not low but it may be reasonable considering the type. Probably unapproachable in the summer. Promoted.

I have to say that the staff are super friendly. The hotel is rated a 3 star and for me that’s all it was nothing more.

Pros — the staff.
Great location.
Nice view.
Pet friendly
Towels were good

Cons — room was super hot all weekend (no fan available). They did drop the temp 2• for us which helped a little.

There was mold on the ceiling of the shower.

The wall was dirty.

For me, it was definitely not worth the price (€200+/night). We really had high hopes, but it fell a little far for us.

The parking was free so that was a huge plus and took some of the sting out of the price for sure.

Have travelled to lots of places in Italy and this Hotel was fantastic - we were given a perfect room for a perfect location. On the tail end of our journey and this was a real treat to come across - good breakfast, close to restaurants and a 10 minute walk to
the beach - staff were lovely, always pleasant and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Definitely a very beautiful structure, with a top position on the Gaeta seafront. Friendly and helpful staff, which is unfortunately not a given these days. Little "big" gem... despite having booked a standard room, the management made us STAY, at no additional cost, in a room with a balcony overlooking the sea... TOP!

Hotel a stone's throw from old Gaeta. Opposite the hotel is the NATO base where, every morning, the national anthems of Italy and the USA are listened to. The hotel is renovated and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Free car parking is also available to guests, which is not easy to find in these parts. Very kind and professional staff. Free shuttle to Serapo beach.

We have stayed here multiple times, and recently spent the first 5 nights of our honeymoon here. The hotel is perfectly located between "old" and "new" Gaeta, and directly across from the Navy pier. Serapo beach is a 10 minute walk. Highly recommend a room with a walk out balcony (third floor). The view is incredible. Everyone here is helpful (and speak enough English to communicate well), the rooms are clean, and the price is reasonable.

Booked room with hot tub. It is a room that is not at all welcoming, old, maintenance completely absent, mold present on the vault, old bathroom, from the sink with a completely ruined mirror to the shower, everything looks very old. Completely yellowed hot tub. Very weak water jets. Practically there is nothing about massage... without considering the fact that I was completely flooded after the bath, probably some leak in the tub favored the leakage of water. Uncomfortable bed, mattress without even its mattress cover. Heating not working during the night. Room absolutely inadequate for the price paid.

There is a small glass elevator you can take from the sidewalk or a staircase if about 20 stairs. Also it's about 1.5 mile walk to the beach... but only .5 mile to downtown area .... go 1/4 mile the other way at sundown for the park and carnival ride area. The breakfast in the terrace will be nice with the kids bc you can enjoy the terrace and easily watch the kids as they eat and run around.

How far is the nearest beach, and can you swim there? Is it a sandy or pebbles beach?
Answer from dsir
chicago, illinois103 contributions53 helpful votes
The Serrapo beach in Gaeta is the most perfect beach. There are areas where you can rent a chaise lounge and umbrella .... just sit on one and the beach boy will gone get your money ... I don't know how much bc we didn't do this . We went in the areas where you can just lay on the clean beautiful sand.... close to the freshest water u will ever swim in. The beach is perfect. There are caves you can swim to as well! If U drive north on the bus Flaca toward Sperlonga there are s number of beaches worth visiting as well.... these are full service beaches u get a chaise lounge and umbrella for 5 euro .... we did one of these .... it was also excellent. And we also visited the public beach at Sperlinga and walked their downtown area ..... so much to see and do !!!
