We spent 4 nights at Residence AT and were pleased with our choice. The location just can't be beat - especially at this price point. We knew going in that there were 100 steps up to the B&B and all I can say about that is before you leave the room, double-check to be sure you have everything needed for...

Beware of making a reservation at this hotel. You may be sorely disappointed. We showed up at the Residence AT on May 22, 2009, looking forward to two days in the hotel's excellent location on Piazza Barberini. When we rang the bell, the manager told us not to come up, he would come down. Turns out that despite our pre-paid...

We stayed at the guesthouse for 3 nights in November and found it most charming. We arrived 2 hours earlier than the check-in time and we were greeted by the very friendly owner who supplied us with information of things to do and a very helpful map of all the attractions which was much more useful than the Lonely Planets...

The place has a great location. It's very close to Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. Both Metro and bus stations are just a few steps away from the hotel. We were looking for a basic room with clean sheets and bathroom, AT residence offers more. The owner is very kind and helpful. He let us to leave our luggage...

This hotel lives up to its name, i.e, the hotel actually is housed in a residence building. I have to admit that it took some adjustment to become comfortable with this type of accommodation. My understanding of the hotel is that the owner converted a two level "penthouse" (I use this term liberally) condo into a very small hotel. My...

Stayed at the Residenza AT at Piazza Barberini in Rome over my birthday at the end of June 2008. My husband and I were a little bit dubious as we could not find any reviews about the hotel, apart from the odd one or two on hotels.com and expedia. We needn't have worried. What a fab little hotel. I would...

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.

“There are 13 sets of steps to the apartments but if you can make it they are really worth it. It truly is ideally located. Great continental breakfast when you choose to have it in serving times and you get asked each evening so you have some choice. We will be returning. On that point 5 Minutes from the Trevi Fountain. Don;t miss this accommodation.”
