Less than 10 minutes walk to Vatican museum and the Basilica. Good transport links and Most of the attractions in walking distance. Stayed with my family for three nights. Great place to stay and Massimo was helpful from the day I made the reservation. With his many years of working in the same industry, He knew what exactly the expectation... More

I stayed here for 4 nights and recommended it highly. Literally a stones throw from the Vatican. And well placed for walking to all the other sites. Massimo and staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was cleaned daily and towels replaced. The only downside was it wasn't easy to find at first I'm glad we were dropped off by... More

A friend visiting from the United States asked if we could make a short trip to Rome. Unsure of the accommodations available and knowing that October is still considered the peak season, I was able to find Capricci Romani. When the reservations were made, Massimo sent an e-mails asking if we needed driving services from the airport. I explained that... More

Very nice, family-like, clean place with friendly hosts in a central location in a beautiful old house from 1890. At our arrival we were given extremely helpful information for our sight-seeing tours. The B&B is near the Vatican and Castel Sant'Angelo and in 10 minutes walking distance from the subway station 'Ottaviano' from where you can reach many places in... More

The B and B is in a fantastic location- you can literally walk everywhere- and its a stones throw from the Vatican. The owner is friendly and extremely helpful. He gave us a map and a quick over view on where to go and how to beat the ques. Such valuable advice and it really made our trip. The owner... More

Centrally located, within easy walking distance to so many sites, makes this a great place to stay. What makes it so much better, and a place we enthusiastically recommend, is the wonderful host and owner Massimo. He made wonderful breakfasts each day, packed a lunch on another day (unknown at the time to us!) and was a sincere, pleasant wealth... More

I just returned from a family break with 2 kids (9 and 13) and we stayed in the family room. The aim was mainly to see the city of Rome with all the major sites and everywhere was within walking distance and I am glad we opted to stay here. The best thing about this place and the 5* rating... More

Capricci Romani B&B has a great location! It is close to St Peter's Basilica. The owner, Massimo, had been truly great in suggesting places to visit. Breakfast was aplenty. Hot choco and cappuccino were amazing! I appreciated how Massimo helped me with my luggage. He offered me to temporarily leave my bags for a few days as I traveled outside... More

We truly enjoyed our stay at this B&B ~ Perfect location; all sites, restaurants, shops are walkable. Massimo went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our stay! Room and bathroom super clean. Breakfast ridiculously scrumptious. We are already planning on returning!

Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighbourhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighbourhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighbourhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
