As soon as you walk through the gates into the cobbled courtyard you know you're somewhere special. There's a large, working chapel by reception (I recommend the visitors' book) and there are religious statues and artefacts around every corner.
We weren't sure what to expect...More
I recently spent two weeks in this amazing hotel. It is a converted convent and as such still has the sense of the ancient wisdom of the nuns that used to lived there. There is a chapel on the left as you walk in the...More
The hotel is the perfect blend of luxury and location. Located in the travester area of Rome. It is walking distance for all the restaurants and bra yet quite once u are inside. Hospitality was great, rooms and beds comfortable and breakfast with vegan options....More
Classical Rooms might be noisy as Trastevere is very popular at weekends. So drunken people makes a lot of noise through out the nights. So book only rooms to the garden. Breakfast ok, but not great. Disappointing is the the roof top, no service or...More
Fantastic, excellent staff, well maintained, great location in Trastevere – close to the city centre but removed from the bustle, quiet location thats a reasonable walk from pretty much everything. Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable
eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.

We imagined being in the city during the day and retreating to the hotel and Trastevere in the evening. In reality the walking distance between the hotel and attractions didn't seem that far. During our stay we found ourselves walking, on the bus, underground and taxi, a real mixed bag covering all parts of the city. Go for something in the city if you want to cut down on mileage. However you will miss out on a hotel that we really loved and probably good value for Rome and Trastevere had a really good vibe. Whatever you decision, you will love Rome
