Booked this hotel based on location as it is close to the termini and reppublicca metro stops. The hotel is not difficult to find. We arrived and were greeted to a warm welcome. We were a bit early and the room was bring made. The room itself was spacious enough. We were on the side of the main road however...

This was an amazing hotel. A 5 minute walk from the train station and a 10 minute walk to the coliseum, forum and many other ruins! The beds adjust so you can lift head/feet and even have a massage option. They also give you a cell phone for the duration of your stay, so if your from out of country...

Just a short walk from the Termini, and easy to walk around Rome, so a great base. Some nice restaurant just located in the streets around the hotel. Room was a good size, we even had a 3rd bed but had space. All clean and comfy. Breakfast was all fresh and constantly restocked. Good value, good location

We stayed here for 2 nights and we were welcomed by friendly staff, who spoke good English. The room was small but comfortable, and there were some really nice touches for visitors, including a reclining bed and also a free mobile phone which was great as a map for getting around the area! Awesome location, 2 minutes away from Roma...

Nice friendly staff, basic hotel, clean with a small bar and buffet style breakfast. Had a balcony room but there isn't any point as all you can see is the building across the street from you. Cheap and cheerful and central. Not far from Colosseum.

This is one of the best hotels in Rome. It's close to the Roma Termini, great breakfast, clean rooms, comfortable beds and great hotel feature. The staff was helpful and we were close to all the points of interests and restaurants. I will be returning.

This was an interesting hotel. They take great pride in there convenient location and it was, we walked everywhere but The Vatican. The staff though was very cold, not friendly or welcoming and whenever we asked questions they never had any answers. We had problems with our room as the seat was broken and so was the flushing device,. But...

Originally i booked another hotel for our 4 day break in Rome. I was not happy with the other hotel so booked Augusta Lucilla Palace last minute for the whole 3 night/4 days. For the price we paid it was fantastic. Staff were extremely helpful, the hotel is spotless, rooms were a good size with amazing massaging beds, breakfast was...

This hotel was booked a suprise for me by my partner, which I don't usually trust him to do. But it turned out FANTASTIC! The location is amazing, around a 10 minute walk to the train station and then just a ten minute walk to the main road where we got onto the hop on and hop off buses daily....

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
