H10 Roma Citta stands out for its exceptional cleanliness, with guests frequently commending the spotless rooms and diligent housekeeping. The hotel's location, slightly removed from the city center, offers easy access to local attractions and is often mentioned for its convenience. While the rooms earn praise for comfort, a few guests suggest improvements in noise reduction and the addition of kettles.
The atmosphere is noted for its vibrant, local charm, and although the amenities are generally appreciated, some visitors point out the limited pool hours and the desire for more in-room features. Service at the hotel is well-regarded; the staff are lauded for their professionalism, despite occasional hiccups during busy periods. Overall, the hotel is considered a good value, especially due to the cost-saving taxi voucher system, although some travelers find the bar prices on the higher side.

Detailed Reviews
This hotel was really lovely, staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. The safes in the room were free to use which I though was a really nice touch. Cleaners were absolutely amazing, everyday we got back to a spotless room they really went above and beyond. The pool area was nice, however when advertised they look like really comfortable sun beds however they were chairs so weren’t really comfortable to sit on or relax. The pool bar wasn’t open which was a bit disappointing as well as there was no where to get a drink whilst sunbathing. Location was okay, about 15 min drive from the centre and the hotel do a fixed €10 taxi rate there and back before 7pm which I thought was really good value for money. All in all I would most likely visit this hotel again and would definitely recommend it.

We spent a week at this hotel and chose it for the roof top pool, knowing it was a little further out than most other hotels. The hotel offer a taxi service for €10 to Piazza Venezia which is a central location. The reception staff order the taxi which arrives promptly. Alternatively we often got a bus to the same location or at night, a tram to Trastevere - highly recommended.
Due to COVID restrictions, the restaurant was not open for evening meals and unfortunately the bar wasn't open either. The breakfast was table service rather than self service. Breakfast was good but they brought everything at once so hot food often went cold. No butter available either - only dry toast!
The hotel had actually taken a lot of very good precautions for COVID and it felt very safe.
The roof top pool was very busy and the pictures are misleading as there are no sunbeds only deck chair style seating.
Overall though I would recommend the hotel, very friendly staff- they should just make people aware on the website that the bar etc is not currently open and update the pool images.

We stayed at the Roma Citta early in October 2020. Our room was lovely. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a lovely big bed, a flat screen TV, hairdryer etc. The bathroom was great and there is shampoo and shower gel provided. There is a free to use safe and a small fridge in the room. The only thing we missed was a kettle but it didn't spoil anything.
As a result of Covid19 some things were different during our stay but we felt very safe all of the time. A packet of face masks and a bottle of hand sanitiser was a novel but very welcome little arrival pack in the room! There was no breakfast buffet but table service instead, which was lovely. We were greeted each morning by a friendly & very attentive waiter. There was a selection of pastries, bread rolls, cakes and jams etc on each table and the waiter would take your drinks & food order for the kitchen. There was no menu but we were under the impression you could almost order anything and they would accommodate you! We enjoyed bacon and eggs, omlettes, yoghurt and fruits but heard others ordering cereal, toasties and salmon. It seemed nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is in a residential area with a school next door. The area is quite bustling. but not 'touristy'. The city centre is a 10 minute taxi ride and the hotel offers a taxi voucher scheme with a fixed price of €10 one way. We used this service to travel into the city each morning which was great. A taxi will be with you within 5minutes of asking at reception. On our way back in the evening it was easy to pick up a cab when we were ready, from one of the city taxi ranks and the price was usually around €10.50.
The pool was closed while we were there but the roof terrace was available for sunbathing which we enjoyed on our arrival evening.
To be fair we only had a short break and once you are in the city centre your day will be pretty full. We went out after breakfast each morning and didn't return until 9pm-10pm

I stayed in this hotel for the pool. Roma in august is very hot and I prefer during the day to stay in the pool.
They charged you 6 euros per day per tax of gov when other places charge you 1.5
They charge me for the mini bar I didnt use.
They charge me 6 euros of service room to bring me the coffee upstairs
They say that the cap for the pool is mandatory, and they make you pay for the cap.
The pool is upstairs and there are rules, but no one cares about them. So kids are running and splashing water. People is listening to their own speakers with high volume.
Breakfast is served in the dinning room with a lot of people they forget to bring you the things you asked for.
The location of the hotel is not close to the city. You have to walk in a place that it doesnt look safe enough.
If you want to extend your stay the rates change so you have to pay more.
The tv is not smart tb and the bathroom has shower not tub.

Dear mariafM3781KP, Thank you very much for your stay and you review: your comments will certainly help us improve. We are sorry that, in the overall, your stay did not come up to your expectations. We take this opportunity to inform you though that the city tax depends on the hotel category: for a 4* hotel the Municipality of Rome established that the guests have to pay 6 euro per person per night. Furthermore the use of the swimming pool has become mandatory by law because of the COVID-19. All the guests should use it and if they don't, we are afraid they are not respecting the others and themselves. As far as the location is concerned, we do respect your point of view. On the other hand we assure you that there is no safety issue: our hotel is in fact located in a quiet and residential area not too far from an important commercial district. We thank you again for your stay and for your useful suggestions regarding our service and we remain with kind regards, H10 Hotel Guest Services

Nice room, Lovely helpful staff. The €10 fixed rate taxi to the main bit was very useful would definitely recommend doing. Pool area was nice just not a lot of shade. Only complaint would be that you can hear a lot of banging from other rooms and hear doors shutting from around you. Overall good stay!

We stayed at H10 Roma Citta for 5 nights.
The hotel and room were lovely, really high standard. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, explaining the best ways to get around the city and even provided us with a map. We were travelling to Rome as a birthday treat for my partner but hadn't noted this in the booking - despite this the staff noticed his date of birth and provided a small bottle of complimentary prosecco in our room with a note wishing him happy birthday! Very kind. The bed was very comfortable which is good after walking 25-30k steps a day as a minimum! The sounds in the corridors outside the room do echo quite a bit, but we weren't disturbed during the night by noise.
We did not do breakfast at the hotel as enjoyed getting pastries from nearby bakeries, but did eat pizzas and some snacks one evening and they were reasonable and very nice. The drinks are on the expensive side however.
The rooftop area with the pool is very nice, we didn't use the pool ourselves but it seemed busy each time we sat on the rooftop. There was also a rooftop bar open which was very handy.
The area around the hotel is nice and quiet with a children's school and play area around the corner. There are several nearby supermarkets which we used to buy big bottles of water and some snacks as water was expensive to buy in the hotel. It is easy to reach the hotel from the Roma Trastevere Train Station which is how we travelled to/from the airport. The taxi from the station to the hotel is very cheap if needed.
My partner did get stuck in the elevator at the hotel once much to our amusement, we were assured this does not happen usually!
The hotel is a little away from the historic centre of Rome, but the hotel has a deal with a taxi company for 10E one way, which is a good deal to get into the centre early in the morning and then can meander back to the hotel via Trastevere for excellent food options. To get to the Vatican, we simply went on a regional train from the nearby Trastevere station which was very easy and quick.
The location of the hotel did mean we tended to get back to the hotel early in the evening so we didn't have to wander around in the dark or pay the enhanced taxi rates but we did not feel limited by this as were out all day every day. The location also meant that we did not pop back to hotel at all during the day, which was fine as we took everything we needed with us at the start of the day but this might be something to consider.
Overall, really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend.

I recently booked this hotel for a girls trip for my mums 60th birthday to Rome. This hotel is a sort 20 min cab ride from FCO airport. We arrived early and were able to get into our rooms and also got a comp upgrade which was amazing. There was 4 of us so we had two rooms which the staff located next to each other. The rooms were a fab size with 2 queen beds and a large wardrobe. We had tea/coffee facilities and the added extra in the bathroom was amazing, just a lot of details to the small things like, shampoo, conditioner, soap, shower caps, combs, tissues etc. The rooms were cleaned daily as well. We had added breakfast with our stay and we cannot fault the food or selection availble. They also have an onsite bar we used at night with a small selection of food (Pizza, Lasagne, Burger, Fish, Salad and some desserts) Our Party tried almost everythink on the menu and could not fault the quality of the food, it was delicious and staff were happy to help. They had a good range of drinks and signature cocktails, I personally recommend the passionfruit mojito, best cocktail i have ever had!
The reception staff were so happy to assist with any queries.
For the location, this is a little far out from Rome centre, about a 45min walk, however, the hotel do have a service in whuch you can purchase a voucher for a taxi for 10euros and that is a 10 min ride which drops you off at Piazza Venzia (10mins walk from Colosseum and right outside Alter of the Fatherland, which i recommend) You then can get the same taxi company back to the hotel at same pick up point as long as before 7pm. We had a slight issue on the return journeys with the drivers and vouchers but the reception staff happliy assisted us in resolving this with the driver.
I cannot fault this hotel at all would give a 4.5 out of 5 rating, the only reason we did not give 5 stars was just due to the distance from the centre. On the plus the hotel was very quiet and the beds very comfy, best sleep we have all had in a while.

+1
This hotel had plus points but the negatives outweighed those unfortunately. It is a generally clean modern chain hotel but obviously the website pictures do not reflect a bit of wear and tear. It is in a rather odd location amongst flats, a nursery school and some abandoned buildings nearby, so not exactly scenic. The local area is a wee bit run down, especially when you walk towards the city centre, and has plenty small shops and cafes/pizzerias, but few decent bars or restaurants aimed at tourists. (Note. Lots of litter, graffiti and run down buildings in Rome outside the touristy centre.) It is around 25mins walk to the nearest metro station and 15 minutes to the nearest surface railway station, and although the bus stop is not far away on the main street we found the buses unreliable. The hotel offers a 10 euro fixed taxi fare deal to the city centre so use that if there are 4 people and save yourself a lot of hassle. As far as our room was concerned, it was large with a huge double bed, but not as nice as in the pictures. The smart TV had no English speaking channels, but you can use a Netfix or Amazon Prime account to watch if the weather is bad. There was a minibar but not much in it. The bathroom was large with a double walk in shower, but there was mould on the sealant, the shower heads were grotty, and the extractor did nothing, so there was often a damp smell in the room. Yuk! On top of that, there is poor soundproofing and noisy drainage pipes in the rooms. Each morning we would get woken up by furniture being moved across the hard floors in adjacent rooms (by cleaning staff I presume) and every so often in the night it sounded like strangers were in our bathroom flushing our toilet! Very disturbing. The cleaning staff were very efficient though. Lastly, the hotel bar is nice but expensive. In particular, do not under any circumstances order anything with tonic in it - you get charged the earth for tonic going flat in a big plastic Schweppes bottle. A G&T costs 11 euros and more. Outrageous! Breakfast was standard chain hotel fare, but there was generally enough to go round and it was decent, and the staff were very efficient. All in all, not a bad hotel but too many negatives to outweigh the positives, and we wouldn't choose it again.

Dear Super1956, First of all let us thank you for your recent stay in our Hotel and for your review. We are glad to hear from you that you appreciate our cleanliness and staff efficiency. It is a shame that you did not enjoy our quiet and relaxing location: the hotel is located in the Viale Marconi district, which is a well known residential and shopping area. Furthermore getting to the very centre of Rome is quite easy: you can either take the public transportation means (bus, train and tram) or take advantage of the special rate taxi service (we do have an agreement for a fixed rate with the most important taxi company of Rome for only €10,00). Secondly, regarding the breakfast we are not sure if you are complaining about the prices or the quality. As a matter of fact we offer a wide range of dishes (hot and cold) using only the best products available on the market. Breakfast represents one of our most appreciated services, we are proud to offer a wide selection of fresh and sustainable products, to satisfy every taste. A rich choice of fresh seasonal fruit, different varieties of bread accompanied by jams and creams, traditional croissant, cakes and desserts, a vast selection of local cheeses and cold cuts; for those who do not want to give up the traditional American breakfast, our buffet offers different types of eggs, crispy bacon and sausages. But that's not all, you will also find a wide choice of cereals, yoghurts and dried fruit for a complete and healthy meal.I also want to ensure you that we are very attentive to the sustainability and origin of our products. Furthermore we are sorry for the inconvenience occurred with the tv channels and the bathrooms. In this case it is a pity that you did not inform us during your stay, for sure we could have done something for you in order to find a solution together. Looking forward to welcoming you back again we stay at your disposal should you need further or future assistance. H10 Guest Services

We stayed for 4 nights from the 1st May. Could not fault the staff, all extremely courteous, friendly, and professional. When checking in we were given a map and the lady highlighted various places for us. Rooms were spotless, huge bed and an amazing double shower! Breakfast was included and was buffet style and there was something for everyone, hot and cold, really impressed. The bar closes at 11pm which can be a bit inconvenient but we just bought a few bottles of beer and kept them in the fridge in our room. There is also a safe in your room. We went up to the rooftop pool one day which is quite small but really lovely. It is mandatory to wear a swimming cap for hygiene reasons but once you’re over looking slightly ridiculous it’s not a problem. And the views from the roof are great. My only gripe is it is a little far from the centre but the hotel have an arrangement with a taxi firm that’ll cost you 10 euros. This does have to be done before 7pm though but it’s not that much more expensive to do it yourself if later. I would really recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again. Many thanks to all the lovely staff.

The hotel is very clean and the beds are really comfy. The staff and housekeeping are exceptional. Hairdryer, fridge and safe are in room but bring your own kettle unless you are prepared to pay £20 per night extra for an upgrade. The breakfast is adequate with plenty of choice. Avoid the bar unless you have money to burn, the prices are ridiculous. Location is a drawback, it is in a residential area with no nightlife and very few restaurants within walking distance. The number 170 bus takes you into the centre of Rome but be prepared for a long wait.

I am writing to you with reference to your review and I thank you very much for your feedback regarding your recent stay with us. We are pleased to know that you appreciated the hotel and room cleanliness, the friendliness and professionalism of our staff. Regarding our location, we are not located in the heart of the city but it is a quiet and safe residential area full of shops, restaurants and Italian cafés: actually it is a residential area where you can experience real Roman life and you can take advantage of the special rate by taxi which is very convenient and flexible. We do hope to welcoming you back again in our H10 Roma Città , and we send our kindest regards, H10 Guest Services
