We are about to check out from a 3 night stay here at Leon's Place. The waiters and employees were fantastic 5* for them!! Especially at breakfast. Tasty breakfast with a wide variety and a clean beautiful dining area. The rooms were comfortable and clean, our bathroom was very pretty and a nice big bathtub was perfect after a long...

We had planned a trip to Rome for my boyfriend's 30th Birthday. Neither of us had been before so we needed to do a bit of research into hotels and which areas to stay in. We had set a budget but after seeing Leon's Place decided to forget the budget and go for what looked like one of the nicest...

The location us a little out of the centre, but this is only a 30 minutes walk, or a 5 minute walk to either of the 2 metro lines. The hotel is clean and decorated in an art deco style. We had room 5 on the ground floor, this had x2 showers and a bath, no windows, but the skylight...

We stayed here at Easter and would thoroughly recommend it. It is immaculate and very stylish. The star were very friendly and incredibly helpful. It's a lovely little hotel that is well placed to explorer the city, in a relatively quiet area. Would love to go back.

I recently stayed at Leon's place and it was a gorgeous hotel. Great location: 25 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain or Taxi cost approx €8 Warm and friendly reception staff with good knowledge of the local area/buses etc. Rooms were extremely high standard, with huge comfortable beds, Tv, safety deposit. There is complementary hand held wifi device in each...

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for 4 nights in 2015. It was absolutely beautiful. The decor was so luxurious and felt very high class. The breakfast was reasonable every morning. There is nice little restraunts round about and a very busy ice cream parlour across the street. Would not hesitate to go back here as it is around 10-15...

We are just back from 3 nights in this hotel and we loved it. A few minutes walk to center but lovely restaurants and bars around it. The hotel decor is fabulous. We stayed in room 215 and it was huge. I would highly recommend this hotel. Staff were very nice and professional. We will go back.

If you are visiting Rome for a couple of days and are looking for a comfortable and clean hotel, Leon's Place is ideal. Our room was spacious and was cleaned each day. The three days we stayed here, the same breakfast was served, your usual cereal's, croissant's, toast, eggs and bacon with a selection of fruits and yoghurts which was...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
