Me and my boyfriend went to Rome for 4 days, and decided to go to danilos b&b. It was the best decision, because Danilo is the best. Eventhough we were late for the check in, he still had time to give us all the tips for first timers in Rome. His favourite restaurants (mainly in Trastevere) and so on. Besides...

We were a bit hesitant about booking this B&B based on the previous reviews as most of them sounded a bit too good to be true. However, B&B Danilo exceeded our expectations. Such a clean, cosy, and above all friendly place! Entering Danilo's B&B feels like coming home. Danilo himself is super friendly and helpful, and definitely willing to go...

Lovely B&B in the best location and the nicest host in the whole of Rome! We absolutely love Trastevere, but finally had time to spend majority of our time there. Danilo provided us with great restaurants & bars recommendations, our room was very pretty and spacious and I quite liked the fact that you eat breakfast with other guests in...

We spent a week in Rome and searched for a well located place to stay. Danilo and Davide, the B&B owners contacted us immediately upon booking. They were both very friendly and offered to help in any way they can. They arranged transportation from the airport and back, and provided tips and advice. Great hosts! The place itself is small...

Clean b&b in the middle of the lovely Trastevere! Very quiet rooms with views to inner yards, no noise from streets around. Just 8 minutes to Piazza Venezia by tram. And the best of all, Danilo is warm-hearted, always smiling and friendly host!

Recommend Danilo to everyone! We stayed at his place for 6 days and we loved every second of it. Danilo is enthusiastic, friendly, helpfull, funny and easy going. The rooms are big. The balcony's really nice. Bed sleeps good. Not a very soft bed, but not hard as well. Breakfast is fantastic. And of course your stay is cheap! We...

As other reviewers have stated, Danilo does go the extra mile to make your stay in Rome enjoyable. This can be vital if something you didn't plan on happens. The B&B is clean and the location is excellent. The price was right and credit cards are accepted for payment. Danilo manages another property in the building so he can be...

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.

“We reserved a double room with a private bathroom. Typical of Italy, the bathroom is very small (1 person at a time). The shower was a little tight for me (I'm a big guy) but had good hot water. The room was quite large and had a small balcony overlooking the complex courtyard. Nothing spectacular in the view but hopefully--being in Rome--you are not spending much time in your room...”
