I have stayed at B&B Danilo Roma twice. On both occasions the stay couldn't have been better. Situated in the heart of Trastevere there are many great finds within steps of the building. Davide the owner and Andreas do everything possible to make your stay with them perfect. There is even a place to have your laundry done just across...

We enjoyed our stay at B&B Danilo! We booked 2 separate rooms with bathrooms for 3 nights and found the B&B perfectly located for walking around Rome. Davide and Andrea gave us excellent tips on what to see and where to eat and made us feel at home. We had an early morning flight to U.S. and Davide was able...

Davide and Andrea will make you feel at home. The beds are wonderfully firm and comfortable after a long day walking. Friendly, accessible, very clean.

My boyfriend and I were in Rome for a wedding, and honestly if it wasn't for the hospitality of Andrea and his son Danilo, our trip wouldn't have been the same. Andrea is hilarious... he had us lauging everyday! The location of B&B Danilo is excellent. You get much more than you pay for. The rooms are air conditioned and...

My wife and I found ourselves in a treasure of true Roman life while in Rome on holiday. I found B&B Danilo using a search engine that I often use when traveling abroad. I selected B&B Danilo because it is in the Trastevere neighborhood in Rome and for the price. We got so much more than we paid for. We...

We recently stayed at B&B Danilo. Andrea, the owners Father, made us feel very welcome from the moment we walked through the door and was extremely helpful and courteous. Although the place is a little hard to find initially, once you find the main front entrance from the street, the B&B is situated on the 2nd floor, and there is...

I would stay again at the B & B Danilo. Although the B & B is a modest affair-decor and age of building referencing-they feature great service, clean and quiet rooms (building renos aside), decent breakfasts with an amenable host adding the morning flair, situated in a fantastic area (Trastevere region is incredible for dining and walking around at night)....

So my wife and I took a trip to Italy last year for our honeymoon, and while we stayed in Rome, we came across the B&B Danilo. Our first impression of the place is that we found it just a little hard to find from the main street, but once we found the correct address the rest of it was...

I spent 3 nights at B&B Danilo with my 13 year old daughter in October last and was very glad with the warmth and and kindness addressed to us from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. It was my daughter's first time abroad and it was very important to me that she felt welcomed and confortable in...

My mother and I traveled through Italy in September 2010 and stayed here for 3 nights. It was the perfect, budget-friendly spot for our time in Rome. We arrived very late at night but we let Danilo know in advance and he was there to welcome us and carry our luggage (there are several flights of stairs to get to...

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.

“The rooms are on the second floor, and I have not noticed any outside noise or disruptions.”

“We reserved a double room with a private bathroom. Typical of Italy, the bathroom is very small (1 person at a time). The shower was a little tight for me (I'm a big guy) but had good hot water. The room was quite large and had a small balcony overlooking the complex courtyard. Nothing spectacular in the view but hopefully--being in Rome--you are not spending much time in your room...”
