Our stay at the Venetia Palace was super! It was a quick walk from Roma Termini and truthfully, we've never stayed in such close proximity to a main train station, but it was far from disappointing. Our room was well appointed, and although the breakfast room was small, the food was fresh and tasty. Night time in the hotel was...

Positives: 1. Close to the main Rome train station and 2.5 km from the Coliseum. 2. Good basic breakfast (no made-to-order food). 3. Some very kind and considerate staff. 4. clean rooms, a small gym, shampoo, conditioner, shower cap, safe in room. Negatives: 1. Basic decor and very small room 2. no special touches -- no teakettle in room, no...

A very big plus is that the hotel is in a central, convenient location. Comfortable bed, clean, well serviced room.....but ...leaking toilet; in addition, leak from unknown source in the night onto veranda, night duty manager unsure of how to respond! A very tight, small breakfast room (food good but stressful to access it) ....but worst experience of all, was...

Great breakfast, late checkout at 2pm was perfect, and somewhere to store luggage until later (appeared very safe), excellent location, very friendly staff, good size room, I enjoyed using the gym, very quiet fridge which we kept our own water. The only negatives were no kettle and hot drinks in the room; also the air con only went down to...

Stayed for 4 nights. Check in lady was friendly, efficient and informative - recommended a restaurant for us to eat and it was lovely. Room was perfectly adequate for a short stay - a bit on the small side for a longer stay. The glass doors on the shower room and toilet are a bit strange and restricts privacy. We...

Accessibility: Very near to Termini Station (5 mins walk), and other important locations in Rome like Piazza Reppublica. Staffs: They have 24 hrs receptionists who are very helpful and very accommodating! Beds: We had the Matrimonial bed and its wide. Pillows are a bit thin ( i prefer higher pillows). Cleanliness: Absolutely great, the room and toilet were properly cleaned,...

Reception staff were pleasant - only one really nice younger woman with brown hair and glasses, the rest were all okay. The room is okay, very minimalistic but not bad for only a few days - TV is a bit smaller than most other hotels but if you don't plan on being in your room, it's not really a big...

Nothing wrong with the place. Spent one night here for early flight home. Changed rooms owing to banging noise of lift (avoid 508!). Staff were very helpful and understanding. Left very early so didn't make it to the breakfast. But great location for Termini station and not too pricey.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
