We had booked a room in the owners B&B but we taken to her other self contained one bed apartment. The owner was delightful and very helpful but the best thing about the apartment was the location. It was extremely well placed for buses (local and airport ones), metro and indeed walking to a lot of the tourist sites. Lots...

We were a couple on a first time travel to Rome. We actually booked a room at the owner's other B&B, the Tibullo. When we arrived there, the owner was wating for us and told us that she forgot to close the booking and that the room was rented to someone else. Since I specifically asked for a quiet room,...

Tucked away in the innards of a roman building, the B&B Cicerone is a typical Roman apartment rental in a great location. Although it is not a homey B&B, it is a great apartment, breakfast is included but it is more of an apartment then a B&B. Large enough rooms with private bathrooms and a communal kitchen (although we saw...

Do not trust this B&B. I booked online months before June visit to Rome and confirmed by email week before arrival. However when we arrived we were offered one room only instead of 2 rooms booked and another room in another B&B. Cicerone 28 looked awful, it looked like a doss house, we were shocked by contrast to pictures on...

I must say this was the worst experience of "B&B"/motel/hostel we have ever had. Reasons: - there is no reception and the owners are not around (at least this is what the care taker who cannot make any decisions told us). - we double checked by email at least 8 times the arriving time to make sure someone was there...

This was totally inconvient as i wanted to be on Via Cicerone street becuase of the location...

Went to Rome just a few days ago and stayed for 4 nights. Location was really good as it was near to the Vatican. Towards the right is the Vatican City, and the left all the other attractions along Via Del Corso (nearest being the Popolo, Spanish Steps etc). Didn't have to use the taxi, etc to go to places....

We stayed in this BB for 5 nights. The BB's location is perfect, as it is near all the sightseeing points in central Rome, and the neighborhood is quiet and safe. The room we stayed was rather large and clean, with en-suite bathroom. The breakfast, though not reach, but was enough (cappuccino was very delicious :), and was served into...

Cicerone B&B is rather inexpensive taken central location into consideration, but..... .... stating that breakfast was included and then serving milk (=cappucino) and a dry piece of bread (and nothing more!) is a joke. Would have prefered nothing in stead. Staff rather pleasant (when there) and rooms acceptable overall. Single beds a nightmare and mattress as hard as stone. Hardly...

The cleanliness of the room and every other area in the B&B, the positive, welcoming and warm attitude of the staff and its excellent location, make this B&B an ideal and highly recommendable spot for travellers on a budget. The Vatican is about a 10 min. walk, and you can reach la Fontana di Trevi in about 20 minutes. Excellent!

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
