The advantages with the hotel is the price and the location - only five minutes by foot from the Termini train station. The problem was the cold rooms, the toilets with empty soap bottles and the thin walls - you could hear everything which was going on in the other rooms including in the reception where the receptionist kept sneezing...

We booked a room with 4 separate beds - got 2 separate and one double bed. They said they'll fix it, but didn't do so. And it wasn't even ready by the time we arrived. What's more the room was really small, the TV had only Italian channels, Wi-fi connection was poor and bathroom was t e r r i...

Stayed for.2.nights. The hostel is really close to termini station and easy to find. The staff were kind to us. We were 4 and the room was big enough for our stay, the bathroom was also medium-sized, although we had some problems with the hairdryer that stoped working after 1 min and the shower was a little difficult to understand...

The hotel is very close to Termini and at a good location (by public transport or foot) to all monuments and historical places. The neighborhood is a little bit weird and looks dangerous at a first sight but a lot of hotels, school and universities are located there and actually is ok. There are a lot of street merchants trying...

If you're looking for a hotel to only sleep at nights and use wifi you are in the correct place. It is located at the back side of Termini station in an apartment. Nice and cheaper way to stay in Rome. Hotel staffs are helpful. Also rooms are clear.

We stayed at A Casa Di Penelope for 2 nights, checking in after 36 hours of travel so we were looking forward to a quite and comfortable place. We had some difficulty finding the B&B - the concept being rooms to let are in a larger apartment building populated by other business. It is not well signposted at the gate,...

Only stayed one night before catching my flight the next morning. I personally love the concept of this property, it is not a hotel but as someone else mentioned rooms to let in a larger apartment. I felt safe and secure at all time with my family, the room was clean and big enough for the 4 people. The room...

We stayed here for 3 nights and on arrival, we were immediately scolded by a Bangladeshi who was the reception. We were waiting for our friends to return from scouting for the hotel before going into the hotel together. He scolded us for keeping him waiting and did not bother to understand the situation before scolding us. Our friends did...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
