It's good in location for Termini station, but a standard room is really small, views are horrible and on waking at the hotel and pulling the far end corner of the bed sheets there was a blood stain. I took a photo to the receptionist who acted really shocked/ disgusted and then took to the manager. Their apology compiled of...

The UNA hotel is extremely close to the main train station, metro stop and bus station. Easy down hill walk to the Colosseum and forum, easy metro ride back. Also extremely close, easy walk to two major National Museum of Rome museums (one pass gets you in all four) and two major basilicas. We were given a free upgrade to...

We booked this hotel after reading reviews on TripAdvisor. The hotel is located literally 100 metres from Termini station which is the main bus and rail station in Rome. The hotel was recently re-done so its very new and modern. The rooms/bathrooms are very nicely decorated and quite spacious. We stayed in a Classic room which was a bit disappointing...

The hotel is in a good location (less than 5min walk from Termini station) however the area is not the best for females. Hotel itself was great with upgrades for a small amount available. Very clean and safe. Turndown service too! Spacious rooms! Staff was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant downstairs was fabulous in terms of service and food!...

This hotel is very near to train station Termini and also from hop on hopoff bus stop. There are many eating out options nearby, especially pizza shops. The hotel rooms are excellent, and the staff is very polite and helpful. Breakfast is also nice. Overall I will surely recommend this place to stay in Rome.

The Termini train station area is not a nice area and far away from attractions. You can get to attractions by metro or buses. Buses are confusing; you have to really watch the stop as it will not tell you the name of the stop and most of the time the bus is packed. I had to find a hotel...

Stayed here for 3 nights for our honeymoon, and everything about it was awesome. The hotel is right near Termini (the main train station), so it was pretty awesome to just walk over to the hotel from our train from Naples. It also makes getting around the city extremely easy as you can hop on any train you need from...

We booked this hotel because we had an early morning train out of Termini, which is nearby. It proved to be a great choice. This is a pricey but really nice and relatively new hotel with all the amenities. The breakfast was quite good, and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. It's a good place from which to see...

However, if you want to be close to Rome's history and culture, you are a 20 -25 minute walk from everything. Travelling with two women, we didn't quite feel comfortable walking around the hotel area at night. The hotel itself was clean with modern amenities. The staff was friendly, however, we asked the front desk to make a reservation at...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
