We had our 3 night stay at Core De Roma. Room was colourful and was provided with everything that needed. We had a mini fridge and a water boiler, which was very essential. Room was kept clean and tidy at all times. Location was great, we were very close to most of the attractions by both foot and bus. We...

The B&B is in a great location to see all the sights in Rome, 20 minutes walk from everything. Trestavere is a fun suburb with lots of pubs. The B&B is just above one of the more lively pubs but no problems with noise at all once you close the windows. The service was amazing, Claudio texted me well in...

Thanks Claudio for the great stay we had in the Core de Roma b&b. Claudio kept in contact with us to make sure we had a taxi from the Airport to the b&b. And then he was waiting in front of the building to tell us some interesting things about the neighbourhoods and the things to see and do. Our...

the room was clean and spacious enough (but the shower door was broken). The thing that was really disappointing was the "breakfast"...awful packaged pastries, fruit juice, and a boiler, nothing else...No concierge at all, and no people attending the place. The location is great, just in the heart of Trastevere, but on the other hand, it gets quite noisy at...

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
