I am very satisfied with this hotel. Though I wouldn't call it luxurious, it was everything I needed in a trip to Rome -- quiet, conveniently located, clean, and attractive. As a single woman, I was extremely comfortable there. The breakfast was delicious, and the service from the front desk to the cafe personnel was outstanding. Great value!

We stayed for 4 nights in this wonderful hotel in March. This hotel should franchise their approach as it rivals many 5 star hotels including roof terrace, informal restaurant with very reasonably priced drinks and food, free still and sparkling water in the room fridge every day, sauna, really spacious rooms (we stayed in room 220 on 2nd floor), smart...

Stayed 4 nights. All staff very helpful and friendly. Hotel is immaculately clean and rooms comfortable. Breakfast buffet good choice and quality. The rooftop bar restaurant was really nice. The drinks here were surprisingly cheaper than the norm in Rome. Good location being 15 mins walk to colosseum and pantheon.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, our room wasn't ready when we arrived, so Robert (I think a trainee on reception) gave us a map and all the information we needed to go exploring for a few hours. There was some minor building work in the reception area which caused no problems for us but the staff were all...

The hotel is in an excellent location for all the major attractions. Main termini for trains is right on the doorstep and close to all manner of restaurants. The rooms have memory foam mattresses and a selection of pillows. Rooms are spotlessly clean as is the whole hotel. The restaurant serves quality food in an evening, Jones the barman looked...

Upon arrival we were given a room upgrade. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and the hotel is very modern and very clean. The air-conditioning was very effective in the rooms. The shower was powerful and hot. Beds and pillows very comfortable. Vending machines available offering items from packed sandwiches to wines and beer to toothbrushes 24hrs per day....

7 minute walk from the Leonardo express platform at Termini and surrounded by a lot of restaurants. Very good breakfast and staff on the desk were outstanding. We got good recommendations for dinner and they even booked a table! Only 15 minutes walk from the Colosseum and Metro station is two minutes away.

The hotel is very close to a metro station and a walking distance to many attractions in Rome. The room is nice and very clean, the staff is great and helpful, breakfast isn't included but not expensive. We highly recommend this hotel.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel. It is in a great location, only 10-15 minutes’ walk from the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps, and 15 minutes in a different direction to the Colosseum. The main train station, Rome Termini, was also only about 12 minutes’ walk away, very handy if coming into the city...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
