Very helpful staff; one gave me his parking spot in front of the hotel so we could leave early in the morning with no parking hassles. Clean, comfortable, nice deck for Vatican view and a view over the city rooftops.

Vatican City, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's are truly a beautiful experience. Bring patience for dealing with the crowds. Study images and historical facts before you go so you feel the awe of architectural achievements and the power a piece of art holds.

This is a perfect location to stay if wanting to visit the Vatican and St Peters square. On arrival were greeted by helpful staff and were advised that our luggage would be delivered to our room whilst we checked in. We stayed in Vatican View for the first two nights of a 10 day tour of Italy. We booked based on the good reviews and were not disappointed. The hotel was modern, spotlessly clean, and our room was very spacious. The staff on the front desk insisted on carrying our cases to the room as we took the lift, as...

A small but well-kept and cozy hotel just across St. Peter's square. A extremely nice option to those who will visit Vatican as well as looking for a not expensive but confortable stay in Rome. Rooms are small, but well-equipped and with modern appliances. Nice rainshower and contemporary bathrooms. A lovely place to stay for some days in Rome

We stayed here in Feb 2017, for 3 nights. Amazing hotel, great location, very friendly staff. Would absolutely recommend this hotel, if you want to stay close to the Vatican. Plenty of restaurants and bars close by, and only a 10 min walk to the nearest Metro station. We had a fabulous time.

We booked the Relais Vatican View mostly because of it's location. It is located nicely only about 200m (by walking) from St. Peter's Cathedral. The hotel itself is lovely. Dear AnBe1986, Thank you for the nice review :) we're happy to know that your stay was good also thanks to us! I'm very sorry about the inconvenience of the heating, I don't know what's happened, but I will investigate about it. Maybe there was a technical problem because the heating is always good, sometimes we have clients who ask...

Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighbourhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighbourhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighbourhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
