This little Hotel is a great place to stay, just outside of the Vatican and a great bargain as well. The Hotel could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Even though the trip upstairs is a bit tight they were quick to carry our luggage up and back down. The location is close to everything around the Vatican and...

We have just returned from our first trip to Rome and had a wonderful time staying at this hotel - although most of our time was spent out exploring. The room had it's own kitchenette if you wanted to use it (we didn't as the restaurants were just too good!) The room was a good size and the bathroom was...

WOW! This was the best hotel I´ve ever stayed! The best thing: when we arrived they gave us an upgrade and we where allowed to stay in a suite with our own roof top access! And it´s really Vatican View! We were able to see St. Peter from the balcony! The Vatican was just a walk of 2 minutes away!...

Dear Naja, Thank you so much for this wonderful review :) We're so happy to know that your stay with us was good.. It's very important for us! For this reason, when we can, we try to make some upgrades to our lovely clients. Our panoramic terrace is one of the best things of the hotel.. I love the view...

Arrived late but lucky to bump into a staff who took time to bring us to our room and gave us the brief - top mark for him (think his name is Fabio); though can't say the same for other staffs. The staff who greeted us helped us with our luggages - there is a lift to access to all...

Dear Io506, Thank you for the review. I'm little sad that your experience with us wasn't excellent.. For me it's very important that all the clients are happy and that you come back at home with a nice memory about us. Sorry if someone of the staff was too hasty with you, we try to do our best to reply...

This hotel is crazy close to the Vatican. So if you plan to take several outings involving the Vatican then it is only a block away. Our room was one of the smaller rooms but very nice, recently remodeled and trendy. Right outside of the room was a small kitchenette and a place for us to put our wine! There...

Here is the email I sent at 2 am because this room is miserable....Hello, I want to let your management know that we are completely unhappy with our accommodations thus far. Our room is stifling hot and with the windows open Mosquitos (bugs) are swarming our room. I am covered in bites. Which my husband, being a physician has made...

We arrived at the Vatican View very late, but had no problem with getting into the room (they have left the keys out for us by the letterbox). The location was amazing, room was wonderful. The only disappointment is that as we were in Rome for only one night, and did not have time to go to the post office...

Dear Lxndse, Thank you for the review. I'm very surprised about this mystery of the postcard. We always send postcards for all our clients, the only thing is that they must have the stamp.. maybe there was a little misunderstanding about it. I'm so sorry! For your next time at the Vatican View Hotel, I promise you a personal postman,...

We were in Rome for only a few days and had plans to attend a Wednesday Papal Audience so wanted to be close to the Vatican. We arrived at this lovely hotel for the start of our two week holiday in Italy. The staff could not have been kinder. Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighbourhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighbourhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighbourhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
