We had a bit of a booking disaster (our fault) and were recommended B&B Kiara by the B&B we had failed to book into. Very nice quiet area and easily walkable from all the restaurants in Trastavere. We were there for the Italian Open (tennis) and it was an easy bus ride. We had the smaller room which was nice...

This very small and personal bnb offered us, a family of four, a lovely and genuine stay in the beautiful city of Rome. The room, more like a studio, has a charming setup with a miniloft where our kids loved to sleep. There is also a fully equipped kitchen. The owner, Chiara, is a good hearted host who will go...

Kiara b&b is in a good location, in Trastevere. We had originally booked into Kimama b&b, but were moved by the owner at the last minute to Kiara to accommodate a group booking in Kimama. Kiara b&b is fine- we stayed in a large room, which was very clean. Maybe we expected more because of the great reviews, and it...

Kiara's B&B was absolutely amazing. The apartment was clean, cozy and located in the central yet quaint area of Trastevere. Walking distance from all major attractions, it's a quiet and charming spot that i would highly recommend to anyone visiting Rome. Kiara was a wonderful host; helpful, kind and always ready to help - she really made our stay as...

Firstly we arrived unexpectedly earlier than we had informed Chiara, the sweet young very friendly owner of this B&B. But she was so nice when i text her to let her know we are actually at her door, she immediately replied n took her only 15mins to meet us. And pleasantly enough the B&B is very very comfortable, clean n...

Kiara's B & B in Trastevere is a great place to stay while visiting Rome. We were there for seven nights in March. The location is ideal. It is not a difficult walk to see the major attractions or you can easily take the tram. It is a quiet spot to return to at the end of a busy day....

A perfect, quiet location in Trastevere within walking distance of the Vatican and Colosseum. Our two room accommodation was more of an apartment than simply a room; it included a kitchen and separate dining/sitting area. This added to the feeling that we were living in a Roman neighborhood rather than simply visiting. But most of all we fell in love...

After a long flight form Canada we have found a home: Bed and Breakfast Kiara in Trastevere. We have selected it mainly because of the location - Trastevere is a great place to breathe authentic Rome. We were greeted by Chiara (yes, this is the proper spelling), a young owner of the place - one of the nicest persons under...

My husband and I stayed at Kiara B&B for almost 2 weeks while visiting our daughter in Rome. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Chiara. I echo the other reviewers' comments on how generous, helpful and accomodating she was. Chiara truly went above and beyond anything we could have hoped for to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care...

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.

“Go to the piazza a block away. In the morning there's a market with great fruits and vegetables. In the afternoon it's just a place where people hang out. Get a slice of pizza and sit there, watch the Roman life go by.”
