Enjoyed our stay. The hotel itself was good and worked well for us. Very cold outside and we came back often to warm up before venturing out again. Breakfast was good with range of food and happy staff.

We loved our stay at the Portoghesi. It is not a fancy place but it is lovely and feels very "Roman" and authentic. The location is close to most of the major monuments, but the street is quiet at night and there isn't the touristy chaos you find around the bigger piazzas. The staff is kind and helpful, the bed...

We stayed two nights in December 2016. The suite was comfortable for my husband and I and our two sons. Very attractive and clean hotel; breakfast was excellent, and we could easily walk to so many attractions. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

A clean, quiet and friendly hotel. The staff was wonderful, especially the breakfast staff. Close to all the major attractions with a good many restaurants close by, we walked to most. We had a nice stay and look forward to returning.

We visited Italy in September, 2016 with another couple (both in mid-50's) and stayed 3 nights at Hotel Portoghesi. It was our 1st stop in Italy and we were not disappointed with our choice! The hotel is conveniently located, the room was clean, quiet, efficient and just spacious enough. The breakfast selection was perfect and we very much enjoyed the...

Don't expect grandeur, but you will certainly get value. This hotel makes the most of its situation. A picturesque medieval tower is next door, and you get a view of it from the breakfast area. The lovely church of San Antonio dei Portoghesi is on the other side, and you'll get a view of the dome from the breakfast are...

We've stayed here several times. The location is perfect. A quiet street near Piazza Navonna, restaurants, shops and a fabulous bakery. You can walk everywhere in the City! Staff is attentive and helpful. Breakfast is fine. The standard rooms are small, but comfortable. Our friends spent a little more on a Suite (#20) which was very large and elegant, with...

A wonderful hotel in a great location and on a nice quiet street. Thank you David and Marco for your extra care and service when one in our group left behind her wallet. It was waiting for her at our Venice hotel when we arrived! Thanks again for going above and beyond the call of duty!

Located just minutes from Piazza Navona and walking distance from everything from Colosseum to Vatican City. Rooms are small but clean and staff is very helpful. Breakfast was an added plus if you want to start your day early as most restaurants don't open early enough to serve you!
