About 10 years ago my wife and I were enjoying a glass of wine at the Piazza della Rotonda. We noticed the hotel sign and joked that next time in Rome we should stay at Hotel Sole. Not until after retirement we again visited Rome...More
Very good stay at this hotel in Rome. Have just spent 5 nights. Having a room in the main hotel building overlooking the square is a must. It is an amazing view and atmosphere. Great breakfast on terrace, friendly staff at reception and helped us...More

With three of Rome’s most beloved piazzas within a five-minute walk of each other, the Navona/Pantheon/Campo area may be the prettiest and most picturesque area of the city. Join the beautiful throngs hanging out in cafes, boutiques, art galleries, and wine bars, or peek at a neighbourhood museum or monument. If you want nonstop movida, the streets here are busy with chic bicyclists and Vespa
drivers, street vendors, merchants, and locals. There is no rhyme or reason to its winding streets and there's something to see around every corner, so take pleasure in a spontaneous wander.

Yes the elevator is reliable but small. I believe there may have been one step into the building. When we exited the elevator on our floor there were rooms right there, but ours we had to go up another small flight. In our room there were no steps except 1 into the bathroom. I think you can ask for a room that has no steps instead of the one like ours you had another small flight.
