In mid-May of this year, I paid a return visit to Rome's Paul VI Guest House. I was pleased to discover that all the amenities that made my first vist such an enjoyable experience had not changed. The constant attention to housecleaning was obvious and each and every day the housecleaning staff still provides fresh, clean towels. Moreover, the price...

This is run by monasterystays.com and hence the actual residences are run by nuns. Otherwise, it's just like any other hotel/pensione I've stayed in, except that it was cleaner and quieter. There are many, many Monasteries to choose from, but I chose this one, as it is right outside the entrance to the Vatican Museum, and is also one of...

Just a really solid value for money place. The rooms are spotless, beds comfy, right across from vatican museum entrance, staff really helpful and nice. They helped book the vatican museum for us, had maps, gave instructions to nearest food store (carrefour express, just around the corner). It is also easy walking distance to the best pizza place in all...

friends recommended this place which provided us with very comfortable accommodation. It is kept exceptionally clean and tidy. With the windows shut there is no, or very little outside noise from traffic etc. We stayed in room 24 which overlooked a building opposite with the Vatican walls to the right and a side street to the left. There are two...

I stayed here with two young children. They were kind and polite. The house is opposite the sistine chapel. The house is near all transport links, St Peters and is very central. The views are amazing and its very very secure. Its clean and there is a fridge and a microwave.

We found that booking the Piccole was very easy throught email. casapaolosesto@pssf.it It also goes by the name "Casa Accoglienza "Paolo VI" and Piccole Suore Sacra Famiglia. Same place. Great location across the street from the Vatican Museum entrance and 5 minutes walk to St. Peter's Square, the metro (two stations to choose from). Wonderful family run restaurants around the...

This convent turned out to be a true gem of a find. The rooms are spacious and clean and the rooms have A/C which worked great. As the previous review mentioned the windows are great, when you close them you have complete silence in the room. The convent is located just up the street from the Vatican Museum entrance and...

I was in Rome to see the wonders of the ancient heart and of course the treasure of art that is in the Vatican. This hostel was just across the road from the entrance to the Vatican Museum, so a perfect location. And having only stayed at one other religious establishment and visiting the Vatican, the whole convent hostel thing...

“Book room away from the street”

“All rooms are basically the same. This is a convent-run place. It is not a tropical resort so you don't have to worry about someone having pool-view when you don't.”
  • Morning view from room 7 ( I think). Looking onto a typical Roman-red building.
of 5 bubbles BandBreviewer, 24 Sep 2013 | Read review
“On my two visits I have stayed in a room in the front close Viale Vaticano. The street traffic was not a problem and I never experienced a sleepless night. Others, however, may prefer a room away from the street in the year close to the deck The large deck, which is furnished witth a covered table with chairs, overlooks a few quiet streets below and provides a view of the suburbs of Rome in the distance.”

“A room away from the main road would be quieter, if you leave the window open.”

“The room we had was great, guessing they are all good. I prefer ground floor so that it's easier in/out.”
