I sincerely recommend this guest house when visiting Rome. It's very close to Vatican and only 25 mins by walk towards Piazza di Popolo and Piazza Navona. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, the breakfast they provide is delicious and they also serve the Italian Prosecco during the afternoon! Rooms are clean and rather spacious and the street the...

The previous stellar reviews are right on the mark, including those by Frolin O and Maryanne M. I definitely would stay here again, or at Sweet Vatican Guest House on the floor above. There are a total of 10 rooms (six at St. Peter, four at Sweet Vatican). The hospitable and caring staff serve both. I stayed eight nights in...

Our first impression was that the room was very stark and rather bare with very modern style furniture. The windows were overlooking the street so had to keep the shutters closed for privacy. Also our room came right out into the breakfast room so thought this would be a bit awkward. Later on in the day we went out and...

We spent 5 nights here in September. The place was spotlessly clean, the breakfast was simple but good, all of the ladies working there during our stay were super friendly and would chat to us whilst preparing bacon and eggs. The rooms are very compact with little place to hang or put things away, but the bed was big and...

The most inhospitable bunch of wankers we have ever come across so far...Why you ask...well my wife has only just come out of hospital diagnosed with cancer and now has to undergo several months of chemotherapy. So we have had to cancel our trip to Europe. Most of the places we booked were very understanding and have refunded our money...but...

This is a lovely B&B type of setting. They offer approx four guest rooms on at least two different floors. There is a shared dining and kitchen area on each floor. There was made to order breakfast prepared each morning and snacks and soft drinks available the rest of the day. Very quiet room, unless you opened your shutters and...

The St. Peter Guest House is situated right down the street from the Vatican Museums which was my focus this visit (along with seeing all the Caravaggio's in the churches). The hostesses (they were much more than employees) were wonderful and made my stay such a joy. From cooking breakfast for me (made to order) to letting me stay longer...

Like almost all reviewers have said, this is truly a wonderful place in the heart of Rome. The staff is friendly, the rooms are of good size and tastefully decorated. The breakfast is quite good and one get as per order. The staff is very friendly and speak good English. The best part is the well stocked pantry, the privilege...

What a wonderful find. Everyone in the Guest House was very welcoming and helpful. Really felt like I was staying at someone's home. Very comfortable and great shower too! Close to Metro, Vatican, lovely restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.

“All rooms are great, we chose one in the rear at our daughter's advice as she lives in the building in a front facing room. Though not a busy street, she thought we'd enjoy the quiet in the rear, overlooking the courtyard, which wasn't lavish ... actually very simple as the rest of the building are upscale homes, and balconies are used for drying clothes as dryers are unheard of in Italy.”
