Although being quite hard to find (look for a tiny plaque on an iron gate at the adress) B&B stay at Rome was quite lovely, the room was clean, had all the amenities you could need and the owner recently opened a restaurant across the road, which was equally as good. Would definitely stay hear again.

We stayed here for 3 nights in April. The owner booked us a really good taxi to pick us up from the airport and showed us the sights on the way to the house. The rooms were spacious and clean with 2 bathrooms shared between the 4 rooms. The apartment was on the 4th floor but the lift worked perfectly...

10 mins from the Termini Station, met by the owner who insisted on buying us a coffee. Outmr room, the art deco room was large and airy, well decorated with the most ridiculously comfortable bed. Two good bathrooms. Air con unit it the room was a plus as was the fridge. Owner gave us a run down of the local...

The room is clean and bright. Share toilet became an issue when other guests checked in and filled up all 4 rooms..not a huge one though unless you have some "urgent business" to attend to... The staff was nice. But we found the window opened every time we came back to the B&B....So flies and stuff came in to bite...

Fantastic place to stay. Close to termini station and can walk to anywhere in the city. We walked everywhere. Breakfast from the wee cafe is a must and the restaurant on the corner also. Francisco is very helpful and told us all the places to visit and how to get there.

We stayed here for 5 nights. The owner arranged a late pick-up (for 50 euros) for us at the airport. When we checked in, I had a bad headache and the guy checking us in went out of his way to get me a pain killer (all the pharmacies were closed). The little cafe down the street had good coffee...

My husband and I traveled here with our two-year-old daughter and stayed for two nights. Francesco emailed us well advance to ask when we would be arriving and answered all our questions in a timely manner. Check-in times are from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM and again at 3:30 PM. Ensure you arrive between those times or let Francesco know...

Walking distance from Termini station (10 minutes). Near to a bus stand. Bathroom and room are clean. Good breakfast served. Very friendly and helpful owner. Explained place to visit. Helped to print ticket and exchange currency at reasonable rate. Overall, nice stay.

This is a modern B&B about 800m from the Central station via walking. Standard needs are here. Room and toilet/bath are clean. Shared bathroom and the shower heater most of the time during our stay took time to work. Drainage is a bit poor. Overall, still okay but nothing really extraordinary. Breakfast is served at the cafe infront.

We had read reviews on this site and so had google mapped to find the location and had phoned the owner in advance, and as a consequence we very easily found the apartment and the owner was waiting to let us in. The apartment is about a 10 minute walk from Termini station and as we felt lazy, we took...

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo may look all street with its pulse in urban art and street food, but don’t be fooled. This gritty student neighbourhood immediately east of Termini train station is on the avant-garde rise. Art galleries, curated mural projects by artists like Rome’s favorite Alice, charming cafes, and boutique restaurants are slowly infiltrating the streets of San Lorenzo with counter-culture chic. Don’t worry, San Lorenzo still retains its local vibe with weekend festivals and demonstrations, and is always a hub for Rome’s university student scene.
