The hotel is in a really good location, walking distance to all the attractions. This is not a luxury hotel but it is lovely and clean and the breakfast was really nice - buffet style. Can be a bit noisy at night with the road but that is about the only fault. We could have asked to be moved but...

I booked early and obtained my room near the top with a small balcony. The aircon worked and it was very satisfactory for the next week. I last stayed here in the late 90s and it is showing its age and was a little drab but it is still a great location and good value. I had a balcony room...

We stayed here for 3 nights - fantastic breakfasts with waiters and linen tablecloths, fantastic new and modern bathroom, very comfy king bed, so close to the historical sites, and 5 minutes from Trevi Fountain! The front desk spoke English and were very helpful in allowing us to cancel a scheduled fourth night for a flight complication. All in all...

We weren't expecting much when we booked a small double room and were told in the confirmation letter that it was very small. I asked to upgrade and they said it may be possible on arrival. It was. We got a large room with three single beds for a few extra Euro. There was a large shower, toilet and bidet....

Stayed here for 3 nights in February not really knowing what to expect! What a brilliant hotel and a fantastic location. Staff were extremely friendly, and the rooms spacious and clean. Hotel is situated on via del corsa, one of the main shopping streets. A 3 minute walk to the Trevi fountain, the same to piazza navona. 20 minute walk...

The family run hotel is at the centre of the historic city, very well appointed, friendly and comfortable. Very clean with an excellent breakfast. Trevi Fountain is a 2 minute walk, Pantheon likewise, nothing is too far to walk or if you wish to take a bus or taxi they are very close.

We recently returned from a trip to Rome. 2 adults and a child. On arrival staff at reception were very friendly. We arrived early and our room wasn’t ready but they said it would be ready in 30 minutes and gave us the choice of leaving our luggage to go out or sit in the lobby. We decided to pop...

Chose this hotel when booking a British Airways city break. It's location was excellent and most top attractions were within walking distance. When we checked in we were shown a tiny, dark and scruffy room at the side of the hotel which we were not happy with. I returned to Reception and, without any fuss at all, we were shown...

Just stayed here whilst on a mini break with the family. Hotel is basic but clean and the staff are fantastic. Location is superb (centrally located) with many main attractions within walking distance. Good selection of reasonably priced restaurants and cafes nearby. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a good hotel in a central location. The only thing I would...

The negatives, namely, the noises of the city and the elusiveness of the free wifi are completely outweighed by the positives, the fabulous location, the friendly staff, the generous breakfast and did I mention the location!? Thoroughly enjoyed it and would stay there again.

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
