Nice clean hotel in great area. Fairly small remodeled room with large bathroom. The only negative was that their breakfast buffet quality and selection could be found in any cheap 3 star hotel. Friendly staff. You just can't beat this old Rome location. Walking distance to main sites, including the Vatican across the river.

The Raphael Roma , what a delightful place ' Stunning hotel ! In the heart of the historic cente, close to the best shopping, restaurants and sightseeing. This is our second stay at the Raphael. Our first time was years ago as a romantic couple, the second time was this past spring, as a romantic couple with teenage sons in tow. The hotel is still as wonderful, with a few modern updates since our last stay. The lobby is filled with antiques furnishings, antique objects d'art, all...

We arrived in Rome two days before Christmas, and the place we had originally booked was awful. We were gritting our teeth, preparing to endure it for 6 nights in Rome, but then the hot water pipes burst, making our rooms uninhabitable. A quick search on TripAdvisor brought up the Hotel Raphael. It was right around the corner from our...

Staff is lovely, but Hotel Raphael is shabby, with worn carpets, sad artificial flower arrangements, torn tablecloths and a general messiness. Our room had old, scratched up, mismatched furniture; oddly, a nightstand blocked the closet so the door could only partially open. Property in dire need of renovation.

My Dearest’s and my arrival at the Hotel Raphael was perfect. We were enthusiastically greeted by the team at the reception desk. The receptionist spoke fluent American, quickly handled the paperwork, and then escorted us up to our room. Throughout our stay the reception team were helpful and courteous. On first impression, our room was large and comfortable but a...

Great location and what an attentive staff!! It was so close to everything. We walked everywhere and the front desk staff called us by name every time we walked in. Great way to enjoy a historical city!

We first found this hotel on another trip to Rome, while looking for a good rooftop restaurant. I do belive Hotel Raphael has the best rooftop-restaurant in Rome! (Vegetarian though). After the visit to the restaurant, we decided to stay here for the next trip to Rome, and we ro not regret this. Very good service, cosy rooms, and so...
