I stayed at this hotel for seven nights, based on the excellent TripAdvisor reviews. I was in no way disappointed. All the praise which is heaped upon this hotel is thoroughly deserved.

We spent just one night here after returning by train from the Amalfi coast. We did not like the location as much as where we had stayed earlier on our trip, near the Colosseum, but the hotel itself is outstanding. Our room was elegant with many nice touches. We definitely had the best breakfast by far of our 2 week...

It was the review on this website that made me book this hotel and I was not disappointed. I was ill when I arrived and they arranged a Doctor within 15 minutes. The staff were very friendly and had great advice on shoppingand sightseeing. AFter walking all day we would return to the hotel and my daughter would go on...

The positive reviews for the Best Western Hotel Canada that helped us decide to take a chance on the hotel were absolutely correct. THIS IS A GREAT HOTEL! Did Thanksgiving Holiday with family (2 teens and wife). A few short blocks and easy walk from the Roma Termini (train station). Room was fabulous and perfect. We travel a lot and...

What is really great about this hotel is that the same warm and personable staff is there year after year. We stayed here in October 2010 and loved it. I stayed at The Canada a year ago and I felt like my friends were still there to greet me when I returned. A good location close to a metro station,...

I moved to this hotel after being unable to sleep in another hotel that I had booked from overseas. In the process of making my decision I looked at two other hotels. The Best Western Canada was the only hotel I came across with an "American style" bed instead of a 20-year-old dilapidated bed. Moreover, the bed in the Best...

We stayed 1 night before leaving for the airport in the AM. Very helpful staff. Breakfast was arranged beatifully and choices were outstanding. It is a 10 minute walk thru a comfortable neighborhood to reach train station. The room was small but very tastfully appointed. Bathroom exceptionally large and very clean.

We spent 2 nights in a "prestige double" room and the decor and cleanliness was first rate. The desk staff were very helpfull in providing information and arranging reputable taxi services including a pre-arranged transfer service to Civitavecchia. Location is quite close to the central train station but we felt comfortable in walking around. The complimentary breakfast is superb and...

We stayed one week at this small intimate immaculate hotel. It's right next to a metro and it's about a 10 minute walk to the Termini. Taxis were there within minutes of being called. There's a small super market nearby with it's larger version just 2 more blocks away. Our room was impeccably clean and beautiful, and the mattress/sheets were...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

In an elegant period palazzo in the centre of Rome, the Hotel Canada represents the fruit of the experience of generations of hoteliers and a tradition of hospitality that renews itself every day.
