We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is nicely set out, very clean and tidy, nice decor, not exactly the Ritz, but what do you want from a 3 star city break hotel? We had a problem on the first night with a broken ceiling light, it was switching itself on and off like constantly to the point were...

The hotel is in a good location, the staff are friendly and very helpful. The rooms are basic but good as was out everyday site seeing. Good selection of restaurants and bars in the area to eat and drink. The Washington cocktail bar has good service and waiters. Thanks Alex. The only problem we had with the hotel was we...

The hotel has quite good location, the room was nice and clean, the staff was kind, nice and very friendly. By mistake I've booked room with 1 bed we asked for two but due to last arrival there was no way to change the room, for the next overnight they managed to separate the beds for our convenience. The hotel is very nice, and staff is kind and always there to help. Breakfast is delicious with all kinds of coffee and sweets. The bathroom is really pretty with good lightning (if you are into makeup you know what I'm talking about haha). 3 of them that work at the reception are really nice, but there is one rude...

Pluses: nice and friendly receptionists, who care about their guests; nice location (3 min walk to Termini, 15 min walk to Coliseum; we always walked to the city centre and back); hotel aims to be clean place (sheets and towels changed daily, which is not very environmentally friendly though) Minuses: not sound proof (you can hear everything from the street,...

I think the only reason it gets 3 stars is because it is conveniently close to the Station. The beds are saggy and bathrooms have broken taps and cracked baths. Breakfast are always out of food and you have to wait for them to bring more only to run out 2mins later. The most substandard 3 star hotel we stayed...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
