This hotel was in a great central location near the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. The bathroom was great in addition to the plush robes and slippers. The only negative I would give this hotel is the noise from the strip club. Our room overlooked the strip club in the back of the hotel and like clock work every night...

Started our 14 day Perrillo Tour in Rome at this hotel. My husband and I took Perillo Northern Classic Tour and we were very pleased! It was all we could of wished for! We felt all the hotels were great, food exceptional, schedule busy but time to catch your breath also provided. We took advantage of the extra tours available...

We spent 3 nites in late Mar/early April as part of a tour. This location is very convenient for walking to many of the sites and it is considered an upscale location near the US Embassy. We were on the 6th floor with two large French door type windows opening onto a full length balcony. The view wasn't great, but...

Pros: + Safe location + Spacious room. + Nice interior + Clean + Close to a number of tourist hotspots. Cons: - Facilities are a bit outdated. Water pressure in our room is unexpectedly low and the elevator sometimes doesn't work. - Breakfast selection is rather limited, not much different from a 4 or even 3-star hotel. - Quite pricy....

Fantastic location for sightseeing but also perfectly set back from the hustle & bustle. A few minutes walk to trevi fountain, 10 minutes walk to Spanish steps, there is a metro station at the bottom of the street for easy use of underground. The hotel is beautiful, some of the most friendly staff, a special thanks to the wonderful Margherita...

This hotel is in a wonderful section of Rome with easy access to everything we wanted to do. Our room was large an very up to date. We felt very safe in the neighborhood. The staff assistance was amazing! The concierge fulfilled my every request about our local transportation to historic sites and eating plans. The most creative was combining...

This hotel was beyond over priced for the poor quality of service. The staff weren't welcoming at check-in and where very stuck up. The location wasn't great. When ask for a taxi they provided me a very expensive car service and spend more than I should. The concierge and front desk would rarely pick up the phone and once they...

Clearly, this was once an elegant hotel, albeit that this elegance is is now somewhat jaded. The room that we occupied was large, and other rooms that we saw were also generous in size. However, the hotel’s jaded elegance is reflected in such things as old bathroom ceramics, taps, and fittings. The public areas are also tired, and the main...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Five-star luxury for the Ambasciatori Palace in via Vittorio Veneto, an elegant window facing the Eternal City. In an enviable location, the hotel blends the magic of traditional hospitality with contemporary elegance. Known as 'Ambassadors' Palace', it was originally built in 1903 and it has been the location of international affairs between diplomats from the nearby Embassies and a witness to the excitement of the mundane 'Dolce Vita'. The restoration was made according to the original structure of the environment, and repeating and interpreting the existing decorations: the Brazilian granite columns and the intricate wrought-iron balustrade of the grand staircase, the marble floors and the polychromatic mosaic and the pleasant succession of stuccoes, the Venetian chandeliers and skylights. The welcoming and aristocratic atmosphere of the Ambasciatori Palace combines with exclusive services provided and a careful attention to technology and comfort. The 152 rooms are bright, spacious and finely furnished, decorated in soft colors and aristocratic textures. The new Ambassador Rooms are equipped with TouchControl devices to adjust temperature and lighting and MediaHub to connect the HD screen to the TV audio/video devices. Guests can use the Fitness Center, dine at the refined and elegant restaurant 'La Terrazza', renowned for its culinary fame since the 1920's, the Embassy Bar and Bistro corner and complimentary Wi-Fi is available in all the rooms and public areas. The privileged position of the Ambasciatori Palace, in the business district, makes the Hotel the ideal location for business trips, meetings , exhibitions , banquets and vernissage. The elegant business center includes several multipurpose rooms of different sizes, some with natural light and overlooking via Veneto. The main hall is housed in the ballroom. The Ambasciatori Palace is the ideal place for an unforgettable stay among the most legendary historical-artistic monuments and the elegant shopping streets of Rome. A few steps from the Metropolitana Train (stop Barberini) allows a pleasant walk to the Fontana di Trevi, Piazza di Spagna, Piazza Navona and the main railway Station Termini. ... more   less
