Staff lovely and helpful. It was clean and made up each day. Bar was lovely. Central location with loads of nearby restaurants. No minibar in room even though it was advertised. Hotel was very noisy at night and during night.
This hotel is A Little Gem in the very convenient part of Rome. The hotel staff were so polite and helpfulland the service was excellent.and to top it all the Rooftop Restaraunt and bar is the cherry on the cake.
Friendly hotel with a good location. Clean rooms, a little outdated but we weren’t in them for long. Great breakfast selection. We had a lovely stay. One recommendation, a mirror maybe in the room aswell as the bathroom.
Hotel looked nice upon arrival and we had booked a superiour room we was told by recption we were getting an upgrade to the Dome room free of charge which we thought was a nice gesture. However after checking in we got our key we then had to wait over an hour and half for our luggage to be brought to our room. I was getting concerned so i called down to reception to ask where it was to be told its on its way. The bell hop eventually brought us someone elses luggage at first and i told him to try again he then later brought the correct luggage to our room. The recption staff wernt great though and my brother in law was made to feel very uncomfortable and was taken in the back and told to remove a review when he enquired about his luggage being late after a review i put on when the hotel asked if everything was ok and i said no as weve been waiting so long for our luggage to be sent to our room to which i apologised to them directly for the review that the general manger would see and to him for reception giving him a telling off. The hotel was clean and tidy the room was ok but not the best and it was advertised as the dome room however you had to squint to see the dome the extractor fan in the bathroom didnt work and the water wasnt hot apart from that the room was ok. The breakfast wasnt great it was a buffet breakfast which consisted of scrambled eggs and streaky bacon cold meats muffins croissants and toast however it wasnt replenshed quick enough the orange juice was watered down the staff in the breakfast room wernt great and had to be told to replenish on numerous occasions i was even met with a grunt when i told the male staff memeber the orange juice was weak and needs changing. The bar staff were absolutley fantastic and were a credit to the hotel they were helpful friendly and went above and beyond especially for my wifes birthday they really made our stay more pleasant. We also had to leave our key everytime we left to go out and pick it up again when we returned (Strange but true) we also had a feeling someone had been in our room later in the day way after the maid had been in as my wifes cards were standing up when we left and when we returned the cards were lay down on the side with a head band on top of it. The hotel was advertised as having a spa, massage, mini market, currency exchange, jacuzzi, sun loungers, tanning studio and radio just to name a few however none of these existed nor did our rooms even have a kettle in them! Overall we wouldnt stay here again and felt a little let down by the Marcella royal hotel…
Fantastic location! Easy to walk everywhere with plenty of restaurants near by! Very clean and lovely rooftop for food with a lovely view! Staff very friendly and helpful! Would highly recomend this hotel.
Everything about our experience at the hotel was fantastic. The staff go out of their way to ensure you are taken care of. Every meal was delicious, rooms were clean, everything was in proper working order, it was all just great.
Perfect location to tourist attractions. Rooms clean and plenty of space. Perhaps a bit dated, didn’t look quite like the pictures but feel it gives an old world feel! Much cheaper in January/February too. Rooftop Bar was lovely and covered for rain, a bit pricey though and only took card, but you can charge to room and pay cash when you check out.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel in January. Had a lovely stay for my girlfriends birthday which made the trip extra special. If visiting Rome, I would definitely visit again without a doubt.
Myself and my friend stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and 3 days. The hotel reception was lovely, the room was decent. Shower was a bit small and the water wasn’t very hot, but other than that the room was good. The rooftop was lovely and we got to take soo many pictures there during the day and night. Lovely stay and I would recommend staying there.
The hotel was fantastic! Extremely beautiful, clean, smells nice. The staff was very welcoming and helpful all the time, the ambiance is great and the rooftop view is outstanding! On top of it, there's live music on Fridays & Saturdays there so you get a bonus - incredible view with lovely Italian singer. The location of the hotel is also super convenient and close to the main train station and tourist attractions, but away from crowds.
