Extremely disappointed with this hotel. Room was very small, which we kinda figured it would be, but 1/3 of the rooms walls were covered in mirrors-incredibly tacky. The bathroom door wouldn't shut, and the old style key hole in the bathroom door-which wasn't anything other than a small hole in the door, was filled with toilet paper!!! This place needs...

We were really delighted with this hotel and happy that we stayed here for our 4 day break to Rome. The staff and especially the manager was the most helpful we have met. The hotel is in a quiet area of Rome and we used the public buses to travel around after being advised to do so by the manager....

We travelled as a group of 6 and we were all really pleased with our stay. The main highlight was the breakfast. It was on the top of the hotel and we could see all across Rome. Our rooms were pretty dated but the shower was good and beds were comfy so can't really moan. My adapter did get stuck...

Our first view of Rome was from the beautiful roof top terrance! The hotel room is small (not sure if all others are), but clean. I wont' say the staff was 'friendly', they did their job and answered our questions, did not go out of their way to make us feel 'at home'. Breakfast was basic, nothing exciting about it....

The hotel was a 10min walk from the Termini train station. A taxi tried to charge 30euro. Far cheaper to walk. The hotel room and bathroom were clean and tidy. The shower had great pressure to blast away a days worth of sticky sight seeing. Rome doesn't feel as big as you expect when you get there. The hotel was...

This hotel was dark, and old. The rugs were old & the room needed to be updated. The staff at the front desk was not friendly or courteous. The only good thing about this hotel was at the top of the hotel was a restaurant/bar with Salvatore running it. The menu was very limited but Salvatore made up for it...

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights during the heatwave. The hotel is clean, nice decorated room with air conditioning which was needed as it was so hot outside. The staff were friendly and the views from the terrace was beautiful, we did have a drink at night on the terrace - lovely but found the music a bit...

We stayed here for five nights during the recent heatwave. The hotel is very clean and comfortable and has everything you would require for a short stay. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast on roof garden perfect although after day1 sought the coolness of inside area.We used the bus service to get around which can be accessed close to the hotel...

We had a wonderful stay at the Marcella Royal! Allesandro was especially helpful in suggesting restaurants and guided us during our stay. Our room was clean, beautifully decorated and had a spectacular view of the city.

The hotel itself was lovely however quite a trek from anywhere and a limited amount of restaurants close by. Hotel claimed 20 minutes to Trevi Fountain however it is more like 30-40 minutes and uphill on the way back. Hoppa bus was good but if you can, and are flying Easyjet then make sure you buy your tickets on the...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
