This was our final stop after 3 weeks of travelling European Folklore Festivals. For the 2 nights we spent here we were either well rested or exhausted depending on which options you took. The recommendations for our own walking tour at night was a highlight of Rome. Breakfast was great, sitting overlooking Rome on a Summer's day you couldn't ask...

We have just spent 5 days and 4 nights here and this has to be one of the best hotels i have stayed in whilst travelling in Europe!! The reception is very efficient helpful and informative with a traditional Italian feel about it! Escorted to our room (632) by the bell hop who insisted on carrying our bags stating we...

We stayed here for our anniversary in june. We used trip advisor and narrowed it down to 2 hotels. We were swayed by the fantastic roof terrace at the marcella royal and it was the right choice. The hotel is located around 15 -20 min walk from trevi fountain and is in a quiet location. The room was well equipped...

We only spent one night here because we wanted somewhere near the Termini station as were catching the train to the airport the next day. This was a delightful little hotel and made our last night in Italy really memorable. The check-in was fast, friendly and efficient. We were offered a map of the city, but as we had already...

We stayed here in April this year. The location is actually pretty good, walking distance to Termini and if you enjoy walking you can also walk to all the sights in the centre. We arrived at mid-day and our room wasn't ready so we went and sat on the roof terrace and had a peroni whilst enjoying the sun which...

Located a short walk to termini station, this hotel provides all the amenities a traveller can need. Free breakfast, easy access in and out and wonderful 24 hour reception/concierge service all in the heart of Rome. There is a rooftop terrace where one can have a drink and actually see a great deal due to the hotels height above the...

I loved the roof terrace area and having drinks at night and breakfast outside in the AM. The staff were unbelievably courteous, friendly with a great sense of humor, yet very professional. Allessandro was unbelievable. We went on a 7 day cruise after staying at Marcella Royal for one night, we returned for a 2 night stay after our cruise...

Excellent Hotel, would stay again. Very clean, drinks are a tad expensive but that seems the norm in Rome. Very good helpful staff. We stayed in one of the larger of the rooms, well worth it. Shutters on outside window to cut down sunlight and on the top floor no appreciable road noise despite being in a city. A/C was...

We just finished staying 3 nights at the Marcello Royal. It was a great experience. The reception staff was very warm and helpful. We had two large rooms (416&418). They were very clean. The rooftop and the lobby had strong wifi and the wifi in the rooms was at time a little weak but manageable. Just around the corner we...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
