We stayed here on a Rugby weekend. We had a lovely room on the top floor with a small terrace. The breakfast isn't very good just OK, if we had been staying longer than a couple of days we would have eaten elsewhere. The barman does the best gin and tonic I've had in a long time. Lots of restaurants...

There is no way this hotel is 4 star, totally misleading!! At best it is a 2 star hotel. It was so bad that we booked and double paid to stay the remaining 3 nights at a different hotel. When we approached the hotel about a refund due to the misleading rating they simple wouldnt have a bar of it....

This Hotel has excellent location close to Termini station ( 2 blocks only ), so easy access to tourist city bus, and all train to go anywhere from Rome. The Breakfast is excellent , enough to begin the day. The staff is very helpful, and professional. The rooms are small but comfortable, also are available smoking and non smoking rooms....

Hotel was ok but we had threee days of erratic hot water supply. The most annoying element was being told by one of the staff that we were the only people with the problem (Wladimir was the source of this lazy and incorrect explanation) . The next day other staff members confirmed the whole hotel had the problem and they...

One morning, there was no hot water for a shower. The wifi often didn't work and when it did, it was very slow. The thermostat didn't work and when the heat was working it was too hot. With the room on a Main Street, it was loud with the window open. The cleaning staff did a good job. The breakfast...

Nicely furnished and decorated bedroom, excellent service from friendly staff. Bit noisy if windows opened on main road but otherwise recommended for good accommodation, excellent service and sensible prices. Excellent restaurant in the same side street. check out Amedeo Ristorante. Highly recommended

The hotel is well positioned to travel throughout the city - 1min from the main train & bus station, 15mins from Colussium, 15mins from Trevi Fountain. However the bar is very limited (1 barman serving drink but no food) and the rooms are basic. They stated they offer a safe in each room but ours didn't have any. Breakfast was...

Great location, close to the main metro, bus and tram termini, also a huge taxi rank. We used the local white taxis who were a bit crazy but obviously new all the short cuts, they continually beep their horns, cut in and overtake, I'm surprised there wasn't a lot of road rage, Walking distance to the Colosseum, short taxi ride...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
