It is literally a few steps away from St.Peter's Basilica and few steps away from a bus stop that will lead you almost everywhere! I like dealing with the owners --- I should say a team of father and son (Luigi). I'm a Roman Catholic so I want to be close to the seat of Catholicism. It is fun to...

We enjoyed our stay at the Emmaus for our first four days in Rome. Walking distance to both the Vatican and St Pietro train station, surrounded by shops and restaurants, it was perfect for our arrival after twenty four hours air travel. I especially appreciated the free wifi and continental breakfasts.

very good location........close to the Basilica, restaurants, taxi station, friendly staff. If I'd have a chance to go to Rome again, I will stay at Emmaus Hotel...excellent hotel if you plan to attend canonization ceremonies.

The hotel is certainly a little "old fashioned"....but has that certain style and charm. The welcome was warm and immediately informative - taking the lift to the rooms is the first attraction as it is an open caged lift for no more than 3 people - the only set back is that both the two lift doors and the cage...

The Hotel Emmaus is a nice little hotel in central Rome, just steps from S. Paul's Basillica. The rooms are clean and the people are friendly. My only complaint (very small) is that often, when looking for suggestions, they would give us the same ones over and over. For example, when we asked for restaurant reccomendations, they kept recommending the...

I stayed in Emmaus for two nights. Wonderful staff, especially the guy from the reception, Luigi! Helped me a lot with everything! :) Very nice location, close to Vatican, so you can start your journey from the top and then just walk down to all of the beutiful famous places in Rome. Plus it's pretty close to the metro station...

Really friendly and helpful staff, even the cleaners was greeting you in the mornings! Clean and nice room and fresh towels every day. Brilliant location! Really nice breakfast. The only negative I can think about was that I was missing fresh juice and fresh fruit.

My family (2 adults & 2 children 8 &11) stayed here one night. We had a Quad. room the old world charm comes in here, enough space and storage for all, but a little dark. Our kids loved the old fashioned Ferrari elevator lift. Location was fantastic we walked to and from St. Peter's Basillica. We choose this hotel because we didn't...

We have just returned from a wonderful 3 night stay at the Hotel Emmaus. Our two (2) rooms were spotless with new towels each day. Each room had it's own air con, which worked beautifully! No noise thru the window, either! Breakfast is fine with the most delicious rollls!! Coffee or tea are offered by lovely ladies. The location simply...
