From the outside this hotel does not look like much but inside it has a lot of common space and a great breakfast room. Our room was totally redone and was very big. Even the king size bed looked lost in it. It had a sitting room with 2 additional single day beds. The hotel is located on a quiet...

I had stayed here in 2003 and not much had changed, which is a shame. The pros: Good location near the Villa Borghese and the subway. It's not a bad walk to the Piazza Navona. Great breakfast. Cons: The place is badly dated. It might have been renovated in the 1990's. Spotty wi-fi Staff is pretty indifferent.

Four of us (two couples) stayed at this hotel while on a 4 day break to Rome. It was an excellent location really easy for getting around Rome. Close to the stop for the Hop-on/Hop off bus, the metro and within easy walking distance of lots of attractions. The staff were all very helpful and polite but Alessandro the barman...

La Residenza turned out to be a perfect hotel for our stay in Rome. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and bath were comfortable. They looked like they had recently been renovated. We also had a private terrace off our room which was lovely when the weather cooperated for reading and enjoying a glass of wine in...

This is a great hotel, old world elegance in an ideal location. After a filling included breakfast, walk to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Barberini metro station easily. The hotel staff are super helpful. A market and takeout deli allow you to enjoy food on the patio if you are lucky enough to get room 301. There are ample eateries...

Went to Rome for a short winter holiday, and booked a room at La Residenza. The neighbourhood was quiet, the service good and prices affordable. Clean and decent room. Maybe the bed was a bit too hard. Polite staff and decent breakfast. Short walk to the center and the more popular attractions. Reccommendable.

This hotel if great. All places of interest are walkable no need for tubes or taxis. Staff great, breakfast was first class. The hotel is being renovated but this didn't disturb us, you want a refurbished room, lovely. Great shower, huge beds, huge room. All in all great. The only thing I would say is there is no tea/coffee in...

A very clean, well run hotel which is nicely positioned for getting around this Fabulous city. Spotlessly clean, friendly staff and very nice breakfast. Registration was fast and efficient, and the baggage holding on our last day was particularly useful. I would return to this hotel in the future.

We visited Rome for Italy V's Wales we stayed 3 nights. The rooms were of a very good quality I'd say 5* and breakfast was also good. Staff were very helpful and rooms were cleaned daily. The only small criticism is the location as there seems to be a few brothels in the immediate vicinity signposted as Piano Bars with...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
