We arrived late one evening, and the bellman greeted us by name which I was surprised considering we had just arrived, very pleased. We had a fruit basket and water waiting in our room. The buffet breakfast was remarkable of selection, more than would get at a restaurant. The hotel is within walking distance of many great tourist spots and...

The hotel looked impressive on arrival, grand red carpet along the entrance and spacious, airy and very impressive lounge areas. The reception staff, concierge and porter (Simon) were excellent. They answered all of our questions regarding siteseeing and travelling in Rome. Breakfast as per previous reviews was truly amazing, and included everything you could possibly wish to eat. A 5...

La Residenza has a wonderful old style elegance to it. The lobby is spectacular with several sitting rooms where you can relax in big comfy chairs. There is also a bar and we enjoyed wine every night sitting out on the hotel terrace. The staff was very helpful and we particularly enjoyed getting to know Simone. Our room was quite...

I was delighted by this hotel, which was elegant. The reception staff were dressed in tails as if they were going to the opera. There was a welcome basket of fruit in the room. The room was spacious and comfortable, and was equipped with hard-wire internet access. Beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was well-appointed. Breakfast left nothing to...

My wife and I stayed at La Residenza four days in July and another night in August. The personnel working at this hotel were fabulous! From the concierge at reception (both shifts), to the breakfast crew and the bell boys. Our room was cleaned daily while we were out walking around in the city and we returned to a spotless...

We took a train down from Florence and walked the fairly long stroll from the Termini, arriving a bit weary, but were delighted by the friendly and helpful reception. Our room was very comfortable with a well-appointed bath, and the hotel quickly delivered a welcome basket of fruit to our room. We had both a coffeemaker and a tea pot...

The Hotel Residenza is in an ideal location on a quiet street that parallels Via Veneto and less than 10 minutes walk to the Spanish Steps or Piazza Barberini. It is a modern, full-service, hotel that retains its old world influence. Our double room/bath, at the lowest rate, was newly remodeled, good sized with a large king bed, and had...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
