Hotel is ok. It depends what you are looking for. It is quarky! But very close to many attractions like the Spanish steps etc. It is also close to shops located on Via Venetto. Breakfast is good. There is a super market just next door. It should do with a kettle in the room

We spent 3 nights at Hotel Oxford in February 2017. With so much to see and do in Rome as well as a cosy hotel bar and lobby that has great service and good food we didn't spend any time in our room which was adequate, simple and most importantly clean and well equipped. The staff were friendly and helpful,...

Stayed here 3 nights. Clean and basic. A very plain hotel. No kettle to make tea/coffee in room. Staff polite but do not go out of way to make your stay special. Lack of hospitality skills. Could be much better. Location is good.

Stayed here for 4 nights over a weekend. It's an old fashioned hotel, with an attractive lobby area. There is a comfortable bar and separate dining rooms. Check in was efficient albiet a bit brusque. The service overall was good; the staff friendly and spoke good (ish) English. The rooms are sparsely furnished, but the bed was comfortable enough. No...

Group of 12 went out to support Wales. Hotel was 15 min walk to more central city area, which got a bit tedious as it was up hill on way back. We stayed for 5 nights. I would class it 3 star max. Hotel very clean, staff friendly, reception very helpful. Lift only went to second floor, stairs very narrow....

My boyfriend surprised me for my birthday with a trip to Rome - first stop, the Oxford. It's a lovely little place, rooms are quaint (we had an ensuite and our windows opened into the inner courtyard) we had a double room (two beds pushed together) but was comfortable & had a wardrobe for hanging clothes. We had breakfast which...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
