Great price and very good location, close to all major attractions! Stayed for 3 nights, staff were friendly and breakfast was simple but decent! We had a clean room that had everything we needed for our stay.
We arrived at the hotel, which we had booked several weeks before, to learn that they would not honor our reservation and had instead booked us at another hotel, which we later found out was 1/3 of the price. The hotel was totally unacceptable, with...More

Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up
basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

I stayed there a month ago and felt very safe. I had no problem as a woman walking around alone at night. I stayed on well trafficked and well lit streets, as I would do with any city I visit. The hotel itself is accessed via a locked courtyard that has a intercom to the 24h reception desk.
