Our first taste of Italy - small, friendly and clean. Very comfortable room with an extremely helpful staff. It was peaceful and quiet and breakfast was wonderful. Our room was on the first floor and I initially thought it might be noisy but that was not the case. Beds were comfy. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance as were many...

Just returned from our first trip to Rome. Stayed for four days at Hotel Dei Mellini. What a lovely hotel it was! The rooms were nice and there was a little fridge with drinks in.Everything was spotlessly clean, plenty of towels etc in the bathroom and a super shower and nice toiletries. The huge bed was really comfortable and the...

Our first trip to Rome. Thank goodness for great friends (JSK) with GREAT taste.... A perfect boutique hotel, a block off the Tiber River (perfect for you runners like us), and within easy walking distance of everything, the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, the Forum, even the Vatican. Nice room, lovely interior courtyard, comfy bar and great morning breakfast. Excellent...

Very nice hotel. Very clean. Staff very polite and helpful. Desiree who worked the bar in the evening was lovely and easy to strike up a conversation with. My only gripe was my room - 207, a single and it wouldn't have been an issue but it had an interconnecting door which meant I could hear everything going on in...

Thanks to your note, our General Manager has already proceeded to buy 3 new doors with soundproofing panel. We would like to thank you again and we look forward to welcoming...

We just spent four nights in this hotel. A lovely cool haven after the bustle of Rome. Beautiful room with tea making things. Lovely soft robes and nice décor. The staff were wonderful and helpful. The breakfast was varied and plentiful and there was a good snack service. We would definetly stay again. Highly recommended

Hotel Dei Mellini in Rome is situated in a perfect location. My wife and I walked to all the major sites. Their breakfast was superb and ample. The front desk staff was very courteous and helped us find some of the best restaurants in Rome.

We really loved Rome and this was an ideal location to explore it from. Most of the key sites are within walking distance .The service was really good as was the room. No restaurant but there is so much choice within a short walk, that is never a problem.

We spent 3 nights here with friends and we all agreed we would come back to this hotel. Staff could not be more helpful and friendly both in reception and breakfast (which had an excellent selection to choose from). The location is great for Vatican City as well as the rest of Rome and as this was my first visit...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
