The atmosphere of this so called bed and breakfast seens more like a hostel. During our stay, we had problems with the bathroon...that was very unpleasant. The breakfast is also very simple...anyway, i don't recommend it.

Wonderful and comfortable B&B perfectly located in Trastevere. Very clean. Hosts were extremely accommodating and made us feel welcome right from the start. Room was good size with nice balcony. Would stay again if in Rome again.

Made a reservation on a booking site. They called next day to inform that all rooms where booked. But offered an apartment in the suburb. Ten minutes away with the tram. But we had chosen the b&b mainly because of the location in Trastevere. I had a look at there webpage strangely it was still possibly to book the dates... More

After the guests made a reservation we realize that unfortunately there were no more rooms available at our B&B, we sell our 2 rooms directly and thru many different on line web sites, it is actually not an easy job to up date immediately our availability, so it can easy happen that 2 guests makes a reservation at the same... To give context , there are 2 official rooms (1 more private which when we were there had a further guest staying ) in this 3 story apartment block so you felt like staying in someone's home . Our room had a little cute balcony which we could have breakfast in and air conditioned. Ensuite Bathroom tiny but functional ,... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay in the red room in late August. All the facilities worked well eg. the shower & its water pressure was great, the airconditioning was quiet & effective, there was good drawer space, the bed was large & comfortable, room surprisingly quiet despite being on a major street & the wifi was very good.... I was write this review a while ago, but now I am here. The hosts are very friendly, and it was ideal to accommodate two families. We had access to the kitchen and that was very useful when preparing food for our one year old. The location is perfect because you can get authentic Roman takeaway from nearby and Not... More

This was ideal for my three night stay. Thank you Katia and Davide for your attentions and assistance. The room had all that I needed and the bed was comfortable. I felt "locale". Looking forward to staying here again when next in Rome. Highly recommend. sorriso

On a recent Monday, my boyfriend and I arrived at B&B Zen Trastevere for a three-night stay. We were greeted with hospitality and shown to a huge, sunny room in Trastevere. On Tuesday, my birthday morning, we left to explore Rome and affixed the Do Not Disturb sign to our door. When we returned to the room in the early... More

We stayed 6 nights mid of June 2016 at the B&B Zen Trastevere. Davide, the owner, was very helpful and offered much more service than you can expect, e.g. he organised for us a perfect vine tasting within less than 1 day of notivce. The rooms itself looked very nice, breakfast was more than you can expect in Italy and... More

No need to go into too much detail here. This was our second visit to Zen/Zoe in Trastevere and it was another great experience. Our hosts, Davide, Katai and Desiree all played a part in making us feel welcome and offered great advice on where to go and how to make the most of our time. The highlights would be... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The B & B Zen Trastevere is the fruit of an idea that has recently taken shape: to create a setting where guests are offered every kind of comfort in a colorful and carefree environment, and also a little oasis of peace right in the middle of the Eternal City. The B&B is centrally located, right on Viale Trastevere, but is set within a courtyard so it is quiet and peaceful. The B&B, which opened in early 2011 with three rooms, has recently acquired a second B&B on the same floor so now there are seven double bedrooms total. The new rooms have been decorated with the same simple philosophy as the original three rooms, using the colors and diversity that our clients have always been enthusiastic about. In apartment A there are 3 double rooms, one with private bath en suite, and 2 which share a bathroom. All rooms have air conditioning and free WIFI Internet connection 24 hours a day. The rooms are furnished with care and elegance, with colors that make them welcoming and relaxing. Upon request, a third bed can be added in each of these rooms. In apartment B there are 4 double rooms, each with its own bathroom (one is outside the room). All rooms have air conditioning and free WIFI Internet connection 24 hours a day. Upon request, a third bed can be added in two of these rooms.Room prices include a rich and hearty continental breakfast which is served in the kitchen of each apartment. At B&B Zen Trastevere you will be welcomed with courtesy and availability, and by the enchantment of the true essence of Italian style. ... more   less
