We stayed 6 nights mid of June 2016 at the B&B Zen Trastevere. Davide, the owner, was very helpful and offered much more service than you can expect, e.g. he organised for us a perfect vine tasting within less than 1 day of notivce. The rooms itself looked very nice, breakfast was more than you can expect in Italy and...

No need to go into too much detail here. This was our second visit to Zen/Zoe in Trastevere and it was another great experience. Our hosts, Davide, Katai and Desiree all played a part in making us feel welcome and offered great advice on where to go and how to make the most of our time. The highlights would be...

Stayed in the B&B for 5 nights in march 2016. The room was spacious, quiet and very clean with a lovely balcony and free wifi. The location was perfect, just in the heart of Trastevere. The staff was super helpful, Davide even informed us about the public transportation strike the night before our arrival and offered to come and pick...

We were recommended this small B&B in the gorgeous Trastevere suburb of Rome and we can understand why! Davide and Katia, the owners couldn't do enough for us, with fantastic communication before we arrived and then a complimentary private transfer from the airport to the B&B, expert advice on where to go and what to do, so helpful and friendly...

I loved everything about this place: 1) Very handy to public transportation. Tram 8 stops within a block of the B&B. It goes to the Trastevere station where you can catch the train to the airport. 2) Quiet room, even though on a busy street. 3) Wonderful breakfast - croissant, cheese, salami, yogurt, toast, cookies, great coffee. 4) They have...

We stayed here on recommendation from friends (in late October 2014...I'm finally getting around to writing this...) and couldn't have been happier. Hosts Katia and Davide were helpful from the moment we stepped through the door to the moment we left, providing us with restaurant recommendations for all budgets and local knowledge of things to do and see, refining our...

This was my second stay at B&B Zen Trastevere and I will definitely be coming back. The rooms are modern, quiet and comfortable. The location is very convenient if you are looking to stay in the chill neighborhood of Trastevere (my favorite). There's a tram stop in front of the entrance and a bus stop 5 minutes away to discover...

It was our first visit to Rome, we stayed 4 nights which was a good amount of time to see the sights and explore the city. Zen Trastevere and the sister 'B&B Zoe' is run by Davide and his sister Katia who we found to be great hosts. There was another lady too who I think was Davide's cousin. All...

We stayed for four days in October. The location is excellent, right in the middle of Trastevere. Probably the best about Zen B&B are the hosts: Davide and his sister Katia were very nice and helpful.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The B & B Zen Trastevere is the fruit of an idea that has recently taken shape: to create a setting where guests are offered every kind of comfort in a colorful and carefree environment, and also a little oasis of peace right in the middle of the Eternal City. The B&B is centrally located, right on Viale Trastevere, but is set within a courtyard so it is quiet and peaceful. The B&B, which opened in early 2011 with three rooms, has recently acquired a second B&B on the same floor so now there are seven double bedrooms total. The new rooms have been decorated with the same simple philosophy as the original three rooms, using the colors and diversity that our clients have always been enthusiastic about. In apartment A there are 3 double rooms, one with private bath en suite, and 2 which share a bathroom. All rooms have air conditioning and free WIFI Internet connection 24 hours a day. The rooms are furnished with care and elegance, with colors that make them welcoming and relaxing. Upon request, a third bed can be added in each of these rooms. In apartment B there are 4 double rooms, each with its own bathroom (one is outside the room). All rooms have air conditioning and free WIFI Internet connection 24 hours a day. Upon request, a third bed can be added in two of these rooms.Room prices include a rich and hearty continental breakfast which is served in the kitchen of each apartment. At B&B Zen Trastevere you will be welcomed with courtesy and availability, and by the enchantment of the true essence of Italian style. ... more   less
