Welcome to the Kolbe Hotel Rome, where the Ancient and Modern blend to create a new form of hospitality. The Kolbe Hotel Rome will host you in a setting with all the flavour and fascination of history, but with the service and style of the most modern and prestigious accommodation. This unique four star hotel is set in a magnificent 17th century building, which was a former Franciscan convent, and is strategically located in front of the Roman Forum, very close to the Colosseum and just a nice and comfortable walk to the Spanish Steps, Trevi fountain and Navona Square as well as to the main shoppings streets such as Via Condotti and Via Frattina. It also offers a very quick and easy connection to the Vatican and every area of the city. Trastevere, the charming medieval district with restaurants, bars and cafes is within walking distance. The hotel has 72 rooms, all recently renovated and fully equipped with Wi-Fi, flat screen televisions and air-conditioning, most of which face the Roman Forum or the enchanting internal garden. The indoor spaces at the "Unique Al Palatino Garden Restaurant" also reflect our efforts to achieve a perfect blend between past and present, the distinctive feature of the Kolbe Hotel Rome. Moreover the Hotel bar, lobby and garden will be a place of refuge to wind down at the end of the day, sipping a drink or just relaxing to the soft music and lighting, especially designed for your maximum comfort and serenity. The whole staff is glad to welcome you at the Kolbe Hotel Rome!

We Chose this hotel based on its location and also the good reviews it had on Trip Advisor. Positives- * Lovely helpful staff- particularly Rafaello in reception & some of the girls. * Girls serving breakfast were so lovely & helpful every day. * Amazing location- perfect for Colosseum / Forum etc * Very clean rooms and lovely comfy bed. * Garden area is beautiful and a lovely place to sit & have a mid afternoon drink to relax. Negatives- * Our family room (224) was directly above the terrace outside & every night people came out to smoke and talk (loudly) underneath our window. The smoke wafted in and it could be impossibly noisy esp as the air con is turned off in Oct so you need a window open. Unfortunately the noise kept our young son (and us) awake. * The breakfast was so repetitive- everyday the same choice. It seriously needs more variety (tomatoes/ cucumber/ sausage/ veggie options), if you are a vegan, it’s fruit & a croissant. * The shower was like a crazy bad day at a water park. Flooded tray meant the water went all over the bathroom floor. The jets were pointless and just shot out freezing cold water at the end of your shower if you forgot to turn the tap the right way. Apart from these three things, we loved our stay. It was relaxing and nothing was too much trouble. The staff printed off our passenger locator forms and helped us with bus journeys etc. It’s very clean and Covid safe. Top tip- request a room away from the bar / terrace if you want to get to sleep early. Bring some earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

location, location, location and much more . at 100 mt. from circus maximo, Just at walking distance the most important monuments of the Imperial rome ( Palatine, Forum Romanum, Colisseum) . our room was large, clean with a large window facing the Palatine hill. The restraurant on the ground floor with his internal large garden is the best place to have a romantic dinner under century olive trees. The staff id helpful and friendly. We had a recry pleasant experience. hotel to recommend and we will do it

We stayed at the hotel for a week at the end of September, and being the fifth time, the management was very kind in offering us a room upgrade on this occasion - thank you very much indeed! It is a lovely place to stay in – at the edge of the Forum, but very quiet. Our first-floor room was humongous, very clean, and with a round bed with an amazingly comfortable hard mattress. The service was excellent throughout the hotel. The breakfast was good and challenging for the waiters but, even in these (after) covid times, some day-to-day variations in the food items range offered should be made. The number of tv channels offered should be also improved. Nobody is perfect, but we really like staying here while visiting Rome, it is like coming home. Thank you once again for hosting, and we will come back to check the improvements 😉

The whole trip was fantastic. My parents took me to Rome for my birthday and after not really being able to see each other because of Covid, ( we live in separate countries), we needed something special. The hotel didn’t disappoint in anyway. The room was excellent, the food exceptional and the staff, I’m not sure I’ve ever been to such a friendly and helpful place. Thank you very much. The location meant we constantly got to pass amazing sights.

Staff was very accommodating. We stayed one night before departing Rome. We had an early departure - before the kitchen was open for breakfast. The Front Desk staff made us coffee and brioche to enjoy in the outdoor garden before leaving.
