The reviews helped me select Deko and they were accurate. It's really a boutique hotel with an enormous breakfast and the hosts, Marco and Serena (together with Giulia who served me breakfast on 2 mornings) were all walking encyclopaedias and genuinely interesting and interested people. I had asked for a quiet room as I am a hopelessly light sleeper and...

This is a very modest homestay facility. If you are looking for a convenient place to stay location wise and if you don't care about amenities, than this place is a viable choice. The breakfast is included and it consists of coffee, and a plate with one croissant, sliced fruits and cold cuts. There are other major hotel chains around...

The hotel is lovely, and the hosts are amazing. Very much recommended! Hope to come back again soon! Comfortable, clean, good location, very generous hosts! Serena and Marco gave us such a personal heartful experience. Thanks for your hospitality and care!

Marco and Serena were great. They helped me out with everything I needed and reassured me when Alitalia lost my baggage. I stayed there for 5 nights and will definitely stay if I ever come to Rome again.

The Deko is not a hotel. It is an urban bed and breakfast located across the street from the American Embassy. If you like grand lobbies, opulent decor and upscale bars, this isn't for you. If however, you want to feel like you are "home" while visiting this magnificent city, this is the place. It is located on the second...

Serena and Marco make the Deko unique. They happily provide advice on restaurants, shopping, reservations for tourist sites, anything you need, and they genuinely feel like your friends. The location--on a quiet street near Via Veneto and the US embassy--is an oasis from the city but close to Borghese gardens and the Spanish Steps and a plausible walk to everywhere...

We recently spent 4 nights at the Deko, and we had a great experience. The owners, Marco and Serena, couldn't be more accommodating and friendly. The location near the US embassy makes for a comfortable walk to most of the major sites in Rome. Our room off of the breakfast room was spacious and very quiet. Communication with the Deko...

We cant praise this hotel and the owners enough. Marco and his companion, so sorry for not remembering your name right now were wonderful hosts and took great care of us. The room was very clean and nice, Marco always offered us drinks and snacks when he saw us. He also helped us explore the city and booked different restaurants...

I decided to stay at Deko based on reviews on TripAdvisor and my friend who stayed there. This was the last Hotel in our 5 week European holiday and I wanted something affordable in the ritzy part of Rome. I booked directly with Deko and received a discount for paying cash once there. I booked the executive room with lounge...

We have visited Rome numerous times and have stayed in various hotels. Deko Rome is by far the best place we have been. It is small, the location is superb, rooms are clean and tastefully decorated-all important features, but not what made this an outstanding and memorable trip. Marco, Serena, Julia and the "Night Guy", I'm sorry, I don't know...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
