My husband and I stayed here in October 2011. Elisabetta and her daughter Veronica could not have been better hosts. The room was very comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious and set us up for our days outing in Rome. The apartment is situated close to the Tram no. 8 (five minute walk) and it is about a 15 minute...

My wife and I went on a Europe Tour from Sept 16-30, 2011. From among all the hostels we stayed in from Paris to Florence to Rome to Venice and Milan, B&B Elisabetta was the best we had. It is homey; the owners are really great hosts and they even helped us book museum tickets online. The breakfast is home-cooked...

Staying in Monteverde

Neighbourhood Profile
Monteverde
Above the city on the Janiculum hill, Monteverde is Rome’s popular "getaway" neighbourhood, coveted for its greenery. Rome's largest urban park, Villa Pamphili, is the area's centrepiece with affordable prices and peace and quiet. Monteverde is just far enough away from the centre to feel like you’re on a Roman holiday and close enough to feel the lure of Rome's chaos. Though its downside is the lack of scheduled public transport, this family-oriented area is literally a well-deserved walk in the park.

“The room with a veranda is best. Also, it's better if you include airport/train station pick-up in your booking.”
