We rarely stay in one hotel for six nights, but in this case, we were glad that we did because it was lovely. The rooftop is phenomenal to see all over Rome. The hotel is within short walk to Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain as well as the Vatican and Castel Sant'Angelo. It's location on a quiet side street is...

Very trendy, modern hotel that’s geared to the younger crowd. We had a Jr Suite that had a small living area with an OK sized bedroom and decent sized bathroom. Beddings & linens were of top quality although sleep quality was only adequate as it’s located on a very narrow side street so you get the occasional motorcycle late at...

My wife & I stayed for 2 nights in May 2015. The hotel is centrally located in Rome walking distance from many of Rome's famous attractions and is a 40 minute taxi ride from the airport. The property itself is small with fewer than 30 rooms. Check in was fast and efficient and accompanied by a glass of prosecco. Our...

This hotel is everything the name suggests: beautiful, luxurious and artistically decorated. The staff are welcoming and friendly, attentive but not over-the-top. The rooms are gorgeous and comfortable, breakfast is tasty and there is a nice bar. The location is also great; within walking distance of most of the main sites, but also quiet at night time. As boutique hotels go, The First maintains a high standard in all areas from the cleanliness of the public areas to the comfort of the rooms. Some hotels call themselves "boutique" simply on the basis of being small and non-uniform in décor or layout. The First rises above the standard of those by virtue of the consistent quality of service,...

By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina.
