This hotel is in a great location and staff were friendly. The reason for the rating of a 3 was due to the room size. Our room was small and we viewed another 2 rooms as an option to change and they were small too. The pictures of the rooms are deceiving they look a lot bigger than they are.

I booked a reservation for 5 nights, guaranteed with my credit card. A few days ago, my credit card number was stolen and therefore cancelled by the bank. This hotel, a few days before arrival, cancelled my reservation since the credit card was now invalid. There was no attempt to contact me to get a new card number. They are...

We spend 4 days in this hotel and like it. The goods: Close to any locations but still in a very quiet street out from the crowds. In two~~three minutes you can walk to Campo de' Fiori and from there another three to P. navona. Nice room and free minibar. I think this come only if you reserve the room...

Nice room, very clean, very good breakfast with good service. Hotel with athmosphere in a traditionale style, which we liked. Excellet location in historic part of Rome. Calm and nice. To go there we recommend that you take a taxi or limosine , welcome for example, right to the spot.

A very nice small hotel in the heart of Rome. Walking distance to most attractions and close to Ponte Sisto and Trastevere. Interior has a touch of history and all rooms are definately having their own interior. We stayed in the suite (4 persons) with good space and a great view. Very nice breakfast buffet. Roof terrace is a nice...

This hotel is conveniently located, in the nicest historic area of Rome, within a walking distance from many attractions, restaurants, shops, wine bars, anything really. The hotel facilities are not modern, but the room was large and quite. Breakfast offered a large selection and was very good. We liked the quirky design. The only downside was that the air condition...

Hotel Residenza In Farnese is a perfectly satisfactory old hotel. Its location near Campo dei Fiori is perfect for tourists, on a quiet street with little traffic, yet central to all the sights. Yuri at the Front desk is EXCEPTIONAL! Professional, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The rooms are very small, but clean. We stayed in a double, room 315, that...

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome. The location of the hotel was perfect since it was close to a major bus line, and in the centre of the Navonna area. The hotel staff was very friendly, helpful and spoke English which was a real bonus. The rooms were large, the beds comfortable, and the bathrooms exceptionally...

The hotel is situated in the Centro Storico (historical centre) of Rome, and is the ideal base from which to explore Rome on foot. It lies halfway between two of the biggest attractions, being Colloseum/Forum and the Vatican, but within short walking distance of many others such as Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Castel Sant'Angelo, Pantheon, etc. There is no shortage...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Residenza In Farnese stands between Piazza Farnese and Via Giulia in the heart of Rome. The building belonged in times past to the Teutonic Knights Military order of the Blessed Virgin. In the 18th century the palace became property of the Sinibaldi Family who restored the Fagade in its original style giving to more prestige and importance. Today this old monastery houses a cozy hotel of 31 rooms in their original layout and fitted with poor art furniture made in the northern Italian region of Veneto and antique furniture restored by skillful craftsmen who also enhanced the household furnishings and the finely decorated china and glassware. The splendid frescoes that embellish some rooms contribute to create an atmosphere of past times. The passion for art and restoration is accomplished by two ladies Marisella and Carla who run the Residenza in Farnese with particular care offer guests a warm and prestigious welcome. The professional hotel staff will do their best to satisfy all guests requirements with courtesy. La Residenza in Farnese your home in Rome offers a pleasant stay with a friendly homely atmosphere and the charm of an ancient house. ... more   less
