Great location. Restaurants, supermarket and gelati shop nearby. Booked superior room on level 5 with views of the colosseum at the end of the street. Small room and super small balcony but great to have a glassed-in area outside the room. One chair which hubby and I shared on the balcony!!! Helpful staff. Ensuite also small but serviceable. Only complaint as with all our Italian hotels over the three weeks was the paper cups. Bought our own English breakfast as most hotels only give you one or two tea bags and don’t replace the next day. Also had to buy milk to have in our tea. The problem with paper cups and hot tea, is that they seep. No glasses for water or wine. No cork screw or bottle opener. Brought one purchased earlier as this was a common issue in all our stays. Next trip: bring a water proof mug, tea bags, plastic wine glasses and corkscrew.

We wanted somewhere fairly central and this was ideal. Superb views from the rooftop bar and pool and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Very clean, good buffet breakfast and would certainly return in the future.

Very good location, very friendly staff, priv. double room is spacious and has all required amneties. The disadv. is that it does not have a colosseum view. There are rooms which have that view, check with the hotel before you book. One of the best located hotels, 300m away from Colosseum. There is a MRT station on the opposite direction, almost 1Km away.

Absolutely great location, super-friendly staff, and the best rooftop terrace in the city. My room was reasonably spacious, clean and looks modern, however trivial things downgraded my overall wonderful experience: you might expect from Mercure to find an obvious slippers or body lotion in your room, but disappointingly you won't, as well as you won't find basic hair conditioner - just a universal shower gel/shampoo all in one bottle, it is a bit weird, isn't it?

We have spent 5 wonderful nights at the Mercure Centro Roma Hotel. The check in was quick and efficient. The rooms are clean and cosy. The staff speaks English and other languages. They are helpful. They gave us precious advice regarding transport and places to visit. The area is safe and you can see the Colloseum from the hotel. Breakfast was tasty . We ate at the restaurant a few times and we have enjoyed the service and food a lot. I would recommend the hotel to friends. Grazie mille Mercure Roma Centro.

We were 2 families of 3 each and we stayed in this hotel for 3 nights (we had 3 rooms). We reached the hotel at about 9:00 am (because we has an early flight) and we were able to check in to one of the rooms with extra 30 Euros. The rooms are small but adequate There was a safe, enough room to hang clothes and keep the suitcases. There was also a desk and a chair to work if the need be. The bathroom was again small but adequate. It had a hair dryer and a rain shower. The hotel has a small lobby to hang out and a cafe/bar where the breakfast is served. Our stay didn’t include the breakfast so we didn’t try it. But we did have cappuccino in the evenings. The staff was friendly and the wifi worked well in the rooms. The hotel has an open pool at the top floor with a nice view of the colosseum. The pool was closed when we were there because it was still a bit cold to hang out outside. The Colosseum is a just 2-3 mins walk from the hotel. The closest metro to this hotel is the Colosseo metro station that is right in front of the Colosseum (B metro line), but all the other touristy spots are in A metro line. You will need to change the metro in Termini or walk to the closest A metro line station Manzoni (about 8-9 mins walk). There are a few eating places near the Colosseum. Colosseum is lit in the night and it is nice to walk around and look at the it in the night. There are some restaurants near the colosseum with outdoor seating for dinner and drinks.

Lovely, clean hotel in a great location. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was very small, however the view of the Coliseum made up for it. Hair dryer in bathroom did not work, hotel provided another straight away. Would highly recommend.

Very good hotel, excellent breakfast and food in the bistro, the staff are very helpful, very close to Colosseum and easily walkable to the metro to get to the Vatican City. Ideal for a sight seeing holiday in Rome.

Location to Colosseum couldn't be better and with bus stop directly outside, all major Rome attractions could be reached without any problem. Arrived early morning and made our way to hotel hoping to store baggage until check in however a room was available and we were checked in early. Brilliant and a big thank you for that. Room itself was reasonable in size with separate bathroom and toilet on opposite sides of main room (a little odd). No complaints with the bed. Restaurant and bar area were very underwhelming and definetly could do with a modern facelift. View from rooftop was spectacular but disappointing that rooftop bar is only open during summer months. Comfortable stay overall.
