Great location. The hotel has the potential to be of the highest standard with its grand entrance, building exterior and roof terrace. Sadly in my opinion it was just a bit tired in places. Some of the walls were noticeably marked and the lifts and corridors were quite dated. Staff helpful, plenty of options for breakfast and I couldn't fault...

Smart hotel in a beautiful old building but with modern facilities. Good sized rooms, everywhere very clean. Very helpful and friendly staff. Pretty good buffet breakfast, by Italian standards. Rooftop bar with views over Rome, towards the Vatican. Hotel close to the Spanish Steps and very close to the villa Borghese.

Just returned from staying at the Hotel savoy. The hotel staff are so friendly, efficient and knowledgeable, would definitely stay again. The rooftop terrace is lovely with far reaching views, lovely just to chill out with a glass of wine. Breakfast is also very good. It is really close to the Trevi fountain and the Spanish steps, although it is also only a half...

The hotel is perfectly placed to allow easy access to all the main attractions. The room was very spacious but lacking in character of any kind. The wall opposite the bed had large striped wallpaper that was a little oppressive, lacking any mirror (makeup or full length) it made the room unpleasant. The bed was big and comfortable. The bathroom...

I recently stayed here for a long weekend and loved this hotel. It was reasonably priced and we had a superior room which was huge. It was recommended by a friend and lived up to its billing. The staff were charming, the breakfast had plenty of choice and the view from the roof bar was wonderful. This area is near...

Excellent hotel. Staff really helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The use of a free mobile phone during the visit was really good. Close to Trevi Fountain and Spanish steps. Roof top bar was a lovely way to end each day.

We've stayed at a few nearby hotels during our visits to Rome. We like this area. We were recommended The Savoy and we were not disappointed. We had a superior room, which was large and had a FREE mini bar! The bed was very comfy. The window opened. The breakfast room is decent and has a good choice. Even though...

We stayed for three nights and were more than happy with our stay. Our second night was my wife's 40th Birthday and the hotel kindly gave us a lovely bottle of Prossecco free of charge. Well situated for the main attractions and a generally quiet area. Staff were very friendly, helpful and polite.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
