Definitely a luxurious five star hotel. Staff courteous and efficient, facilities excellent. A genuine pleasure to stay there apart from the trams. From 5am and every 15 mins or so a tram travelled past our bedroom window making it impossible to sleep. Stay and enjoy by all means but get a room away from the front of the hotel, away...

Stayed here nearly 20 years ago on our honeymoon and returned this week for a very relaxing four night stay with our son. The setting is perfect, very close to the Borghese And the property itself still has much of its charm and personal service that we remembered from our first stay. The lobby is warm and welcoming as is...

We stayed at the AVB for a few days before Christmas as a birthday treat for me - and I'm so glad we chose this hotel. We were upgraded to a luxe room without asking and it was lovely - really spacious with a huge bed (not two singles pushed together) and very comfortable pillows. A curtained off dressing area...

What better place to land than the Villa Borghese Hotel! We arrived the morning of December 31st at 8:00. We arranged through the hotel to have a driver pick us up at the airport and there he was, ready to whisk us away in his gleaming BMW. He was also an excellent tour guide during our 40 minute ride. Upon...

Superbly located within Rome's most upscale residential area, between the green expanse of the Borghese gardens and the historical reminiscences of Valle Giulia and the Borghese Gallery, the Aldrovandi Villa Borghese is one of the most desirable premises in Rome within walking distance from extraordinary venues as the Spanish Steps and Via Veneto. The hotel provides nice complementary city bikes...

We stayed here for 6 nights in April 2016 and it's was absolutely amazing. It's the perfect oasis of calm and quiet on the edge of the Villa Borghese park. Our room, overlooking the garden and pool, was excellent, large and very comfortable. The staff were wonderful, accommodating and friendly. The food was exquisite and the location was just a...

A very nice hotel, in a good location close to the parc of Villa Borghese where you can joint Piazza del Popolo and the hearth of Rome in few minutes by walk or with the bicycle of the hotel. Great diner in their listed restaurant in the Michelin guide

This is a very fine hotel. It's small and intimate. The decor is splendid and the rooms well equipped. There's a garden and pool which would be perfect in summer. The property is located in the Villa Borghese, a park a few kilometres from the centre of Rome. The hotel operates a shuttle service every half hour. Taxis are numerous...

Staying in Parioli

Neighbourhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavour of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.

Perched above the Eternal City in Rome's exclusive, residential Pinciano neighborhood, Aldrovandi Villa Borghese is a palatial retreat that feels a world apart from the crowded piazzas of the Italian capital, although within walking distance of many highlights of the Eternal City. Overlooking the gorgeous greenery of Rome's Borghese Gardens, Aldrovandi Villa Borghese takes center stage in the Eternal City's poshest neighborhood. A former convent, this grand 19th-century ivory villa is dressed in marble and dripping in chandeliers. With its new SPA by LA MER and state-of-the-art fitness suite featuring the latest equipment, the two-Michelin-star restaurant Oliver Glowig, secluded garden with outdoor pool and palm tree-lined terrace, and a private shuttle to whisk guests straight to the Spanish Steps, this urban retreat offers all the perfect luxurious amenities. ... more   less
